She merely nodded her head in acknowledgement. She really didn't make that much as a kindergarten teacher but fortunately she didn't have expensive tastes. Aside from house and sword maintenance and groceries, there was little else she spent money on. It should be fine.

"I am pleased you have managed to not only lure my grandson out of his burrow," said Jii strolling towards them, "But have convinced him to finally accept his duty as a Shinkenger..kinda.. Good work, Shiraish-kun."
He cleared his voice, "Now speaking of duty - there has been an Ayakashi attack reported not too long ago."

She smiled at the man. "There's no need for you to be so formal. Please call me Sayuri. And you're too kind. I only tried to help your grandson follow the right path."
Her hand reflexively moved to her Katan. "Where and when?" she asked calmly but with authority. She'd head for the area right away.

"I've written the directions down for you," he said as he handed her a paper, "I'm not sure how to work a computer myself, but some members of the household tell me there is a thing called Mapquest and were able to get this information for me."

She nodded her head in thanks and accepted the map. She turned to her reluctant ally. "Coming?" she asked him.

He shrugged, hands in his pockets, "I guess I am."
He was about to head to the other when it hit him, "Oh right. I'll need that."
He went back into the room, bent down, removed the soda from on top of it, and pocketed his Shodophone.

Sayuri cringed as she watched ShinkenBlue unearth his Sodophone from underneath a soda can. Shameful. How could he treat his henshin device with such blatant disrespect?! He wouldn't be able to transform or save anyone without it!

He returned to the hallway.
"Well, are we going or what?"

Sayuri merely nodded her head quickly and sprinted outside. She thought it would be best for both of them if they spoke as little as possible. She had nothing positive to say about ShinkenBlue or his motivations.

"Have a safe trip," Jii nodded.
Toshiro walked out the door, a group of Kuroko were waiting for them.
He sighed, "Do we really need to bring them with us?"

Sayuri shook her head. She personally thought it would be better if they stayed back and let the Shinkengers do their work. "Stay here," she instructed them.

"Aren't you being a little hypocritical?" chimed Toshiro as if he read what was on her mind, "They have a job to do too you know? Who else gets the bystanders to safety while we fight it out?"

Sayuri resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "There are two of us," she reminded him. "I'm sure we can handle it." From her experiences the Kuroko could do as much harm as good. They were extra people to protect which the two of them didn't need.

He sighed, "Whatever you say. You guys are dismissed for now."
The Kuroko nodded and leaved them.
Toshiro and Sayuri then left for their first battle together, unbeknownst of the fate that lie ahead..
