Overview: Cain Sampson is a headstrong, hardheaded stubborn individual obsessed with training and protecting the weak. He enjoys a good fight and left the world of professional wresting when he realized it was all set-up with no real fighting. He became a zookeeper soon after as he always had a love of animals ever since he was a child. He talks to them like they're his friends and often confides in them with his secrets and fears. He may seem like a scary, intense guy at first, but deep down he's a real softie, practically a teddy bear.

Cain's father was the strongman in a traveling circus. Cain was raised in the circus and came to admire his father's strength. He wanted nothing more than to become strong like him so he trained hard every day, but for what? His father sat him down and told him strength alone is not what's important, it's strength to help others what's important. His father became the way he was to help out the struggling circus, it was his home, his family. He would not turn his back on it. So he asked him..why should he become strong?

Cain's father passed away when he was only twelve, leaving him and his mom all alone in the world. His mom thought it would be best for them to get away from the circus life and live a normal childhood from now on. It was after they settled down that Cain witnessed the answer to his question. There was a girl trapped in a burning building and not even the firemen could get to her. It wasn't until a masked hero arrived that she was saved. Cain was so dazzled by this hero that he finally realized why he needed to become strong - to protect those who were not.

So he trained hard every day and got bigger and bigger. A man at the local gym became impressed by Cain and offered him a position in his wrestling federation. His mom had become sick and they needed the money so he accepted. It wasn't only about the wish, he also wished to proof his strength against worthy opponents. He became the masked warrior "Iron Bison" and quickly rose to the top.

It wasn't until he nearly killed a man that he realized how disillusioned he had become with the sport. It was all fake, set-up for the sake of drama and entertainment. There was no life or death struggle. He was fired the next day and returned to his home town. His newly recovered mother wanted him to pursue a safer line of work so he went to an accounting school.

He was only there a year before dropping out. It just wasn't for him. He traveled the world for awhile, looking for himself. It wasn't until he saved some cheetah cubs from dangerous poachers that he decided on his new calling life. He returned to America soon after and became a zookeeper at the Central Park Zoo in New York City.

It was some time after that he was "chosen" by the Gao Animals to become the new GaoBlack. Finally, his dream had been realized. Finally, he could protect the weak from injustice. Finally, he could let loose and show the world what he was truly made of.
