Erika eagerly drank in every word. Her teacher really was a wealth of knowledge.
"When you save given the gift of magic are you being poetic or do you mean that someone or something actually bestowed it upon them? And if some fell in love with humans...Does that mean we have humans with mixed blood?" she asked excitedly. "Would these humans have a better affinity for magic?! Would they possibly be attuned to more than one element?!"
"Until the world needs them once again? What exactly did the world need them for before? No offense but they sound...sort of lazy. How much could they accomplish if they weren't willing to whole heartedly experiment?"
"Translating the books does seem like a worthwhile task; but, I don't believe I'd want that to be my project either. I'm not particularly fond of languages. I'd rather experiment with the direct craft."
She opened her mouth to ask more questions, this time about Morgana and Merlin but then her eyes rolled back into her head. She fell backward and began violently thrashing around.

"It is believed that someone did give them the gift of magic, perhaps a being that has been here since the beginning of time, there are many stories of what they could be from gods, spirits, demons and angels. Of course such things are not wholly believed in though it is in historical documents that someone, or something, gave the Elves their magic; but we just don't know what it is," David said as he hoped that he would be able to find out someday...perhaps then he would be given the ultimate knowledge of magic. "It is possible that there are people with mixed blood out there, but they have not been found yet," he said as he did believe that translating the books was a tedious task and thankless too since the magical community didn't really believe in the books anymore.
Suddenly Erika rolled back and began thrashing, being forewarned David knew that it must be another prediction, he quickly cast a spell of recording so everything would be recorded as he tried his best to make sure that Erika was not injured while making another prediction.

She spoke but she was not aware of the words she uttered. She was having a seizure but she was long past the point of being aware of what was going on around her. No, the room had completely disappeared. She was somewhere else...A forest...A crumbling building on its edge...It reeked...It reeked of magic wards and spells that had not been touched for ages. The building itself was falling apart but there was a room inside. A hidden room that was perfectly preserved. It was so clean and neat that one would think someone was living there to this day. But it hadn't been. She simply knew no one had set foot there in centuries.
Five cloaked men approaching the building. Chanting spells and incantations. Drained, exhausted but continuing. Breaking through the barriers bit by bit. One couldn't take the strain, fell forward, dead. The other four made it inside, searching for that room. The room with the secret book, the forbidden knowledge. One of Merlin's lost books. One rumored not to exist. Becoming forgotten.
More spells and wards inside, stronger than the ones used to protect the building. The mages couldn't pinpoint the room. Becoming weary. Disabling spells room by room. Another fell dead and then there were three. All the obvious rooms had been searched and nothing.
More spells. Suffocating dark magic, fueled by blood. Found it. Finally found the room. Fiercest wards. The three left are the strongest but one of them still dies to break through. Two make it inside. Poke and prod but there's little there. Only two objects hold any real meaning. An amulet and a book. They're both together, a final seal. Requires a blood sacrifice. One man stabs the other through the heart with sword, sword radiating dark energy. The blood spills down upon the book and the amulet and breaks the seal. Both the book and amulet drink in the blood and appear fresh and new. The man gleefully takes them.
Erika's eyes snap open and she pants. She can't keep herself from trembling. She tries to push herself to her feet but she's shaking too hard.

David had no idea about what she was saying, he hoped that the words that were recorded would reveal itself when he investigated it further. He didn't know what Erika was seeing either, he just hoped it was nothing to do with him, finally her eyes snapped open as she panted. "Are you alright? What did you see?" he asked comforting the girl.

Tears brimmed in her eyes. She knew she was supposed to show strength in front of her new teacher. She still hadn't asked what he wanted or expected from her. But she was freaked out. Really, really freaked out. It was...That vision was...Really, really bad! It just screamed wrongness! But he hadn't seen it. She didn't know how she could possibly convey the seriousness of what she had just seen.
She shook her head when he asked her if she was alright. She was but she wasn't. Physically she was fine but that..that
She clung to his robes! "They found it! Or they'll find it! They've found one of Merlin's lost books and amulets," she choked out.

David's eyes widened when he heard what Erika had seen, Merlin's lost books and amulets? He thought they were legends, mere objects that served only to tell how good Merlin was, but to think that they existed? "Are you sure? How do you know that it is Merlin's?" he asked wanting to double check. If there were people who had it then he will need to take it from them, perhaps the books would give him the power that he so wanted.

Erika was still breathing heavily. "I could tell from the spells...the wards...But after the last two made it into the room and he...he...." She tried to calm herself. She needed to explain.
"I said they but only one of them actually survived. There were so many wards and spells..So powerful, infused with dark magic and...But two made it into the room and eventually found the book and the amulet but they were protected. It required a blood sacrifice. The one person stabbed the other through the heart and I saw him...He...He moved the fingers of his dead ally over the book and the amulet first, trying to make sure it was safe and...He flipped open the first few pages and there was an introduction...sort of like a diary entry and the name was Merlin's...And..and....We can't let him get that book! He intends to do terrible things with it! I could feel it! And he just...So coldly and callously killed his ally like that! He...He couldn't have breached all those protections without him but still.."
She was shaking again.

So perhaps it was true then, quite ironic that a dark mage was about to go and take the items from another dark mage. But it would be obvious that Erika would want David to go and retrieve the object, "Very well I shall go and retrieve the objects, where is it? Where is the person now?" he asked since a vision wouldn't show a person much about the location, but it would give some clues.

Erika shook her head. "I don't know where it is. Just...On the edge of a forest. A crumbling building..." She took out her crystal ball. She really wished that others could see what she saw inside of it but no such luck. But if she could try and dig up a piece of her vision again, maybe things would come together and make more sense.
"As for where the person is now I couldn't begin to tell you," she said trying to collect her wits and calm herself. She'd need a level head if she was going to try and look at it again. As much as she didn't want to.
"Just that his ally was screaming 'Mathias' as he stabbed him. And...I guess..I don't know enough about magic but...It seemed like he was fueling a lot of his spells with blood. He seemed to have a talent for manipulating it. But...It's really dangerous. I don't know...Do you think you could actually get the book and amulet?"

He thought as much. She wasn't much help, seers were rarely helpful when it comes to pinpointing a target or location. However he will try his best to locate the items as he nodded, "I will find the items, you stat here and rest," he said as he began to take a book and pour over it. If it was blood magic than it was a dark magic and therefore it should be easy to trace; he began to chant a spell as his mind began to track any sense of dark magic in the last 24 hours. It took a while, but he finally managed to obtain a trace on the person. "Found him," he muttered.

As Mr. McKinnon did his work with the book, she poured over her crystal ball, going over her vision again and again. The screams filled her head as the spells and wards faltered and curses ran amok, as powerful magicians fell and died.
Erika felt woozy but she broke her connection when Mr. MCKinnon insisted that he found him. "Good news and...well either way news. I think...I think the book is in Guinea. The type of trees fit and someone mentioned..." It was half intuition, half accumulation of facts. Whether or not he chose to believe Erika she suspected was up to him.
"And the book...The first couple of pages...He hid his books throughout the world. There's not just this place. This book has clues as to where another one of them is." Oh her head was screaming. So much death. So much intense magic. Curses...Blood...despair....
"I'm sorry," she said helplessly. She wished she could be more useful. Getting this book and amulet before they did...It was incredibly important but as a seer she knew so little. She couldn't control her visions, couldn't control what she saw. And yet she was forced to see these painful snip bits. It was terrible and draining.

David continued to listen to Erika knowing that she may garner some useful facts, the fact that it may be in Guinea confirmed it for him, he nodded as he looked at her. Her desire to protect people could be a naive way of doing things, but this was how she did it and he could not blame her for that, "You have done very well Miss Danielles, very well indeed, rest assured that I will retrieve the items. Such an important item cannot be in the hands of people who wish to harm the world now can it? We will will use it for our own, noble, ends; I shall depart now, stay here and do not exit the house under any circumstances," he said.

Erika stood up. "No! I should come with you!" she insisted. "I've seen it! I might be able to warn you when we get closer and I saw the spells and wards, saw how they broke them. Maybe I can give you useful information. And you don't need to worry too much about protecting me."
She pulled out her MagiPhone. "I'm a beginner in terms of magic but I can still transform and fight."
She stared him directly in the eyes. "And I know where the room they're looking for is. I know where the book and amulet is. If you take me, maybe we can beat them!"

"I cannot risk that, you are exhausted after seeing a vision and you have done through a whole's day worth of training using complicated, and complex, magic. There is a chance that you will suffer exhaustion in the middle of the battle and you will be vulnerable at that point," David said sternly.

Normally Erika was fairly passive. She fell in line and did what she was told but she couldn't risk it. Not with everything at stake.
"You don't understand! You didn't see it! I have to try and help and I can help. Right now I have much more information than you. It's true that I might be exhausted after everything but I don't have the leisure of taking it easy. I've always been able to cope when I've needed to. And I'll come with or without you." She had her hoki. She didn't need his help to travel where she needed to be.
"I am a seer," she said firmly. "I had this vision and it's my obligation to see this through."
