With a resounding woosh, a massive beast of steel burst out from the shadows, a giant Macchina in the form of a koala, about thirteen feet high and angry as hell.

Claudia was dumbfounded a moment. "A fucking koala? Of all the fauna it could have super-sized, it chose a goddamn KOALA!?"

Kakeru barely managed to bring up his sword and swivel the shield forward to guard before the koala was on him, pushing him back with surprising force. "FUCKING DROP BEAR! I KNEW IT! Claudia, bag the 'rang!"

Claudia produced a spark bag and zoomed along the ground, scooping the boomerang into the bag and watching the sparks fly for a moment, before shutting it and stickin it in a small pocket in her armor. She turned, opening fire on the huge koala with her pistol.

As the shots flew, the koala turned, pushing Kakeru into the line of fire, with the shots all hitting Kakeru dead-on. "GAH! NOT FUCKING HELPING, CLAUDIA!"

"Did NOT expect that to happen!" Claudia yelled, stopping firing. She flew to a point directly above the mechanical beast, firing down at it.

As Claudia fired again, the koala roared out, throwing Kakeru straight up into the line of fire once again, the shot hitting his back. "DAMMIT CLAUDIA, STOP HELPING!"

Kakeru roared out, before spinning himself midair to regain control of his motion, and diving downward with a furious spin, thrusting his sword down at the koala, which promptly dodged to the side, causing Kakeru's sword to jam in the ground. "Fucking. Metal. KOALA."

"This thing is annoyingly fast." Claudia muttered, quickly changing into Dame Vitesse and bringing both Chainers to bear, slowly lowering her altitude.

Kakeru grunted, pulling at the sword to get it out of the ground, finally managing after a few seconds, only to have the koala on him in the blink of an eye. "Fucking marsupial bastard!" He yelled, barely managing to guard the attack.

Claudia zoomed in, trying to body-tackle the koala into a wall, building up the sheer speed she hoped would work. She held her Chainers out in front as a shield.

Kakeru saw her coming and hopped back, using the chance to change forms. "Verto!" He cried, as his armor dispersed and was replaced in a flurry of green and white. "You wanna play a game of speed? I'll play hardball, then." He laughed, as he stood in Baselard Verde, cracking his armored knuckles.
