Cosmos' form buckled under the sheer power of the gigantic monster. He struggled to get away from the beast and not smash any buildings.

He rubbed his eyes again and again, he just couldn't believe his eyes.

The grunts of Ultraman Cosmos resounded across the entire city as the blue giant pushed the monster away and launched an energy attack at it.

The monster defended with his own attack. It seemed as if Cosmos alone could not defeat this one alone.
The monster crushed a car underneath his foot and screams could be heard from all over the area.
Jean punched the ground.
"Damn it! We don't need a camera crew, we need the combined armies of the world I wish I could help, but i'm not even a Rescue member yet..I'm just a useless mime.."
A light then shone from the sky before passing Cosmos and crashing into the ground next to Jean.
"Huh..?"

Cosmos turned as the light raced by him.
"Cosmic light?" he asked, obviously confused and in pain.

"Human.." said a disembodied voice, "I have heard your call."
Jean looked around confused, "Huh? Who is that?"
"I have come.."
"Where are you? Huh?"
"DOWN HERE!"
He looked down into the smoking crater to behold a sparkling triangular object from space sitting before him.
"Human!" the voice commanded, "Take a hold of this object, The Esplender, and raise it to the sky. Then you shall be filled with my power, the power to become an Ultraman!"
"Ultraman?"
"You wanted to be a hero didn't you? You wanted to be of use?"
He nodded.
"THEN TAKE IT! BECOME ULTRAMAN GAIA!"
"I'LL DO IT!" Jean reached into the crater, grabbed hold of the Esplender, almost dropped it due how hot it was, and then thrusted it into the sky before being enveloped with a bright light.

"It cannot be!" Cosmos almost gasped. His distraction earned him a punch in the gut from the monster.

Once the light faded, the giant Ultraman Gaia appeared and socked the monster right in the face.

"My pleasure." Cosmos raised his hands to the sky, glowing scarlet with the power of red cosmic light. Within mere seconds, he was changed to Corona Mode. He jumped at the beast, firing off a Prominence Ball at his enemy.
