He reached into his pocket and took grip of a ring. "Here's something to start us off right," he said, holding it out to her. It was simple, a silver band with a small red stone inset with gold frame around the stone.

She took it, examining it for a second. "Thank you... Do you just keep jewelry in your pocket in case you meet a pretty girl?" She slipped it on to her finger, surprised at how well it actually fit.

"A jeweler, eh? Not bad. Most of the jewelers I knew were rather rich." Annabelle commented, continuing to examine the ring. She quite liked it, actually.
