Kiriha was human! He was! How could she make him see that?! Would words alone be enough?
"You're human," she said with complete confidence. "And I'm going to prove it!" She didn't think about it. She grabbed Kiriha and pulled him to her, kissing him deeply.

It took him a moment to kiss her back. He wrapped his arms around her, not sure sure what to feel, or how to feel about her.

When their lips parted she looked up and smiled back at him. She hadn't been sure he'd return the kiss. And she was a bit giddy that he'd wrapped his arms around her.
She lowered her head so it was leaning against his heart and wrapped her arms around him as well. "See, your heart beats faster too. Just like any normal human."

Sayuri shook her head and looked back up at Kiriha still smiling. "No, I finally figured it out."
"I like you," she said brightly. "That's the reason my spirit's always so unsettled around you."

She shook her head. "No, I always work so hard to try and keep it calm and balanced. But...There's sort of an emptiness that comes with that. When I'm with you it feels like I don't need to work so hard to control my spirit...It feels like..I don't know...It feels like it's okay to let go of reason a bit and feel other things." It was difficult to explain. All things concerning the spirit were.

He nodded. He didn't feel like that, or really see how that feeling might come about. But she was feeling it, so he gave her a nod. "Feel other things, then," he told her, "Let go and do what you want, not what your spirit says."

She squeezed him tightly before kissing him again. Her heart was racing and her spirit felt fluttery. But as Kiriha had put it, this was what she wanted to do.

He returned her kiss and drew back after a few moments with a smile formed on his face, "Well, I imagine Marilen will be happy to know this happened."
