As they walked along, he could see the ground curving down a bit, and could see a bit of a dip up ahead, where he believed they'd probably be located. But he stopped...something felt wrong. He turned and grabbed Miri and pulled her into the bushes, dropping with her, pretty much on top of her. He knew very well what teleportation felt like, and what it felt like in the area when you were about to arrive. And then, a moment later, two people teleported onto the path.

Miri yelped in surprise at the maneuver. She half-considered throwing Jayce off.

They immediately started down into the dip in the ground. But he didn't move until he was sure they were gone a minute later, pulling himself off of her, but remaining crouched.
