Taylor yelped slightly, but returned the kiss after a moment, putting one of her arms around his shoulders.

He unclasped the necklace from her and drew back, taking it with him. He set it on the table beside him and pulled a long box from his other pocket. He stepped behind her and slipped the necklace from within around her neck, clasping it closed.

Down the street, a man in black was consulting an object in his hand. "Well, you see, I need to make something burn, so I'm here.... I don't care if it's broad daylight, I need to burn something.... Wait, are you serious?... Well, today just got interesting."
