He was gone. He had appeared at a spot angled to where the shot had presumably come from and swung his shield upwards with a shout, "Getsuga Melon!" he cried out, unleashing a shockwave of dark green energy from his shield for where he figured the foe might be.

The explosion collided in the ground, creating a fiery crater as a result from the impact.
Meanwhile, the Getsuga Melon attack sparked a powerful wave that destroyed a few trees, revealing the White Wizard. Once again, the mage cast another explosion spell at the white samurai.

Takatora was closer now, firing from his Musou Saber for the White Wizard's side. This man could teleport? It took him a moment. Takatora's flashstep was instant.

The White Wizard effortlessly deflected the shots with his Hamel Cane and began engaging the man in close quarters, but once more he cast another explosion spell, though smaller in scale to throw the white samurai off-balance.

Takatora lifted his shield in front of himself, taking the explosion. On the moment of impact, however, he flashstepped to the side, hoping for the explosion to conceal "him" for a moment, and hoping that this man didn't see him out of his peripheral vision.

It worked. When the explosion faded, it left the White Wizard momentarily confused on his opponent's whereabouts.

He struck the knife on his belt again and flashstepped for the man's back, swinging his shield for the man's back, charged with his Getsuga attack along the edge.

The White Wizard could hear the man coming at him for behind, but the attacks came too fast and the deadly combo forced him backwards.
In an attempt to try something new, he scanned a new ring. YES, SPECIAL, UNDERSTAND?
A yellow magic circle opened up in front of his palm and red fire streamed out of and towards the white samurai like a flamethrower on steroids.

Too late. He swung his shield up in an attempt to disperse some flames with his Getsuga, hoping to twist his shield for defense. He had no time to flashstep away.

The White Wizard increased the ring's power, causing the stream of flames to grow further and hotter as he tried to cook the white samurai alive, too busy to care that the whole forest around them was being set ablaze and his fumes of fury were turning into a massive wildfire.

He put his weight behind his shield as he took the flames. This man was powerful, at least with this attack. He stood his ground and focused, remaining completely calm as he let the flames engulf him.

The White Wizard was astonished on how this man could still keep going despite the amount of heat around both of them. He continued spraying the flames at him, hoping to wear down his armor.

Takatora felt the pain, felt the heat, but he remained calm and used his Shield of Hagah for defense, trying to keep some of the flames at bay. He needed to focus, to be calm.
