Neil kicked another rock out of his way which flew right into a bush and out popped a pissed off flying Invess.

Takatora span and swung his shield out, sending a rippling blade of energy for the Inves.

This one perished, but not before letting out a bloodcurdling cry that echoed throughout the forest.
It was silent for a moment afterwards, but then a low buzzing began that became louder as time went on.
"Maybe we should run.."

He didn't have to tell Neil twice. He had no way of fighting against these creatures, all he could now was rely on Taka's power.
A swarm of five flying Invess appeared from the sky. Three of them went after Takatora while the last two went after the running Neil.

He began to loose Getsuga Melon attacks for the flying Inves, not moving.

It took down one right away, but the other two managed to dodge. One went for the front, the other for his back simultaneously.

The two Invess accelerated for ramming speed as they continued towards Takatora.

And then they did.
Neil continued running, climbing a tree won't be enough to get away from one of these flying buggers.

Takatora turned and unleashed his Getsuga Melon into them while they were together. That should be enough.

And it was. They exploded, leaving only one remaining in the vicinity.
"I see it!" Neil shouted, "I see the exit!"
He hopped right there just as the Invess tried to make a swipe at him. It followed him through the crack only to be immediately disposed of by a laser from the Yggdrasil defense grid.

Takatora was there in an instant later, after flash stepping. He looked back into the forest as he undid his Seed, returning to normal.

Neil was out of breath, Olympian he was not.
"Thanks for the save back there," he said unbetween breaths until one of the grunts handed him a bottled water.
