"He sent me off. I think they... eh... went at it." Serry said, taking a moment to think of a euphemism. "Again, I suppose." The images flashed into her mind unbidden, and she forced them out as quickly as she could.

She clenched the book tightly until her knuckles turned white. She didn't want to know that... It was Jayce's life, and he could do what he wanted, though. She did like Miri, but with everything that had happened, she didn't want to hear more.
