"I'll leave, let you focus," he said.

"Thanks for the pick-me-up." Taylor said. "I'll see you later." She headed out to a backstage area, psyching herself up still. She was ready. She could do this.

Thorne left the way he came in. He didn't really want to go out into the audience, he'd rather just wait around backstage.

The signal was given, and Taylor stepped out on stage. The crowd cheered for a moment, before the orchestra began to play. Taylor began singing a moment later, a slower song of lost love.

Thorne managed to watch a bit from backstage, enjoying her singing. He hadn't really heard much of it before.

The song ended, giving way to a faster, happier song that had Taylor swaying a but as she sang.

As Thorne watched, he realized he had no idea when he was supposed to go out. He supposed she'd stop and start talking, and that would tip him off, but he still didn't know when that was.

The song ended a minute later, and the orchestra stopped as the crowd positively went wild. "Thank you all so much for coming out here tonight!" Taylor announced, and the crowd began to roar again. A minute or two passed before she could speak and be heard again. "Now, you people are lucky. Tonight, I want to let the world know about the greatest decision I think I've ever made." A stagehand clapped Thorne on the shoulder, directing him onto the stage.

Well, even without the stagehand, he figured that one out. He didn't know how far to go, so he just walked out a little and poked his head out, trying to figure out where she wanted him, and if she wanted him now or in a minute. He looked at himself. Maybe he should have worn a suit or something, instead of a button up shirt and vest...

Taylor beckoned. "The scaredy cat over there is Thorne Pearce. He makes a good deal of my jewelry, and he is my fiancé." The crowd went wild again.

Thorne walked over to her, wondering a bit of the cat part was a shot at his Smilodon. "To be fair, I had no idea what you wanted me to do," he said, "I didn't know if you had something planned to draw me out, or if I was just supposed to walk out here."

"Well, if I'm introducing you to the world, it would make a modicum you're at my side, would it not?" Taylor asked, covering the microphone with her hand. The crowd was still going absolutely wild, so she wasn't going to try to resume performing any time soon.

"I thought you might have some grand entrance planned out," he said.

"So you wanted something more like a professional wrestler?" Taylor asked, smiling. "I'm afraid I don't quite have any pyrotechnics available."

"I'm just a simple jeweler, I don't need anything like that," he said. He looked at the crowd, "Still going?"
