The veterinarian was out for a short walk nearby her place. There was a bridge above, two roads running below it, and a few buildings on either side. It was a nice day, until...
she heard shots, battle cries, and a "we'll remember this!" from a group of aliens as they left. There was one guy in a red suit, but her attention was drawn to a small puppy that was limping around a little. She runs over to it, passing through the red guy's field of vision, and kneels down, inspecting the animal. After seeing that it could be moved, she gathers it up in her arms and starts back, when she sees another group of mooks coming towards the area, so quickly she grabs the red guy's arm and pulls him into the alleyway along with her, before looking down at the puppy, soothing it with calming words and a funny noise or two.

"O-Oi!" Sanyu whispered, undoing his transformation. "What are you doing out here? It's dangerous! Those guys will kill you if they saw you around here with me!" He looked at her. "Are you trying to look for trouble or something?"

"I couldn't leave this little guy behind." Airi patiently explained, pointing down. "Got injured as a result of your fighting, mou. And secondly, I just saved you from another unnecessary fight, so I'd be thankful for that, young pirate."

She ignores the first comment. "Come on, if you don't want to get caught again. I need to check you for injuries too."

She looks back at him with firm yet gentle eyes. "Please? Even if you say you're fine, wouldn't you rather be sure?"

"I'm afraid not." She said, satisfied that she'd convinced him to come along, and turned to walk towards the animal clinic.

Sanyu rolled his eyes and followed, looking back behind him every now and again to make sure he wasn't followed.

Soon they got to the animal clinic after taking a few back roads that she knew, and they went inside. First, she attended to the little dog, the leg wasn't broken, so all she had to do was patch up the wound. Which she did. After setting it down in a cage and giving it something to make it rest for a while, she turns to the young man there with her. "What's your name?" she asked, moving to have a look at him.

"That's-" She's interrupted by the sound of someone banging on the door. She goes to it and opens it after motioning for him to be quiet, and looks. "Can I help you?" "Have you seen a pirate around here lately?" "A pirate? Can't say that I have, why?" "Well there's a huge bounty on his head and we're gonna collect. Not in there with you, is he?" "Please. This is an animal hospital. I don't treat humans.." "Well..true enough. Sorry to bother you." The bounty hunter and his group, the same ones she saved him from before, leave and head on in the completely opposite direction.
She comes back in and stands in the doorway after she's sure their gone, crossing her arms under her chest. "That answer your question? And I was going to say, that I liked your name."

She moves over to look him over, seeing a tear in his shirt a bit that he might not have noticed, but otherwise he looked fine. "I'm Airi." she mumbled, being engrossed in her work. "Sutou Airi. Turns out there's something here that you missed..." Exploring the tear was the right thing to do, and so she did. It was on his right side..
