"What?" he hissed, drawing his shield up as fast as he could. The impact of the Sonic Arrow against his shield spun his body a little, forcing his arm down. The Arrow was stronger than his defense. He grit his teeth and reached his right hand for his sword on his hip.

Kota swung his Sonic Arrow downward, as if his instincts were being automated to extreme levels. His Sonic Arrow collided into the Musou Saber before it could hit him.
'This lockseed is powerful', Kota thought in his head. 'As long as I can keep it up, I might have a good chance at winning...'

Takatora's sword went down before he could get it properly drawn. He jumped back with his normal speed and flicked his knife again to initiate his speed boost. He moved behind the other Rider, sword drawn. He took his shot and swung his shield at the other man's back.

Kota quickly turned around, trying to keep track of the man's rather predictable fighting pattern. However, the man's weapon apparently had a gun option Kota didn't initially take notice of and the energy pellet hit him the shoulder, causing him to recoil back a bit.

Takatora stepped forward, swinging his shield in an upward motion, aiming to slash the other Rider with the edge of it. Energy was growing around the edge for a stronger strike.

Again, Kota's heigtened reflexes and strength from the Lime Energy allowed him to recover and shoved the shield away with his Sonic Arrow. After countering, he took the chance to swing his weapon at the White Rider, while trying to ignore his strangely aching shoulder from the shot earlier.

Takatora stepped back and turned, using his sword to block, as was his way. His sword was smashed down, however, as he figured. He quickly used his belt to dash back and create some room.
"It's as I figured," he muttered, "Even if my skills are superior, the sheer power difference is problematic."

"I also learned something from your professor." Kota said, shifting in the Genesis handle, imitating a certain action from the professor that initiated a more powerful attack.
'Soda! Lime Energy SQUASH!'
He ran forward and threw a spinning roundhouse kick at the Rider. "Take this!"

He launched himself back while generating his Getsuga Melon to his shield and slashing for extra measure, not that it was going to be enough. If he took that hit, he was done. He just had to make enough space between them...
His shield was smashed aside, and he took part of the blow, but he avoided most of it. It still hurt, and he actually plunged his sword into the ground for support.

Kota did a backflip and landed on the ground feet-first and he stood up, messaging his injured shoulder.

Takatora rose to his full height and reached down to his belt, drawing his Melon Energy Lockseed from the belt. He held it in front of his normal Seed, and then his Driver shifted. He shoved it into place in the Genesis Driver and pushed the piece in.
His armor folded up and flew into a crack above his head. A new melon came down, shining his suit in light, altering the base suit a bit. The new melon landed on him, shifting into his armor.
"Now we'll see how good you are," he told Kota.

Kota caught attention of the Melon Rider, who apparently changed forms to something that the dancer suspected to be something equivalent to his power, which left him concerned.
Placing his Sonic Arrow over his shoulder, he waited for the White Rider's first move.
