Kota pressed to get more information. "The strange forest from the cracks. I know it exsists since it was the place I happen to find the belt. And considering that the place was swarming with Invess and had a eerie atmosphere, I know for certain it's not natural and the fact that the Yggdrasil building looks like a giant-ass metal tree further proves my suspicions. So, spit out what you have to say and stopping playing dumb with me."
Kota never knew he had the ambition to say something like that, but at this point there was no turning back. He needed to know what this man was up to.

He sighed, "If you want to find out the truth so badly, you'll have to take my offer. If not, you shall remain as ignorant as before, but let me give you a far warning Kota - ignorance is indeed bliss."

"..." Kota muttered. "So that's how it has to be?"
He looked at the window and then back at the CEO. After a long silence, he made up his decision. "Fine, I...accept...your offer." He struggled to go through with what he said. "But...I want to learn the truth in due time. I will not stay out of loop for long."

Jack smiled warmly, "Glad you came to your senses, my boy. Now you must be tired from your recent attack, why don't you go down to sickbay and rest for a bit?"

Kota was silent, still lamenting on the decision he has made. He looked at Wotan, as if complying but he didn't nod nor shake his head.

The two guards let Kota out of the office, shutting the door behind them. Jack then pressed a button, connecting a line to some nameless grunt.
"Inform the rest of the guards. Kota Kazuraba is not to leave the building."

Kota followed the guards to the sickbay. He wondered if that man was really going to tell him what he wanted to hear. Right now, a lot of questions filled his head and most of them were unanswered.
