Neil got hit again.
"Hey!" he shouted at Demi, "Are you going to stand around all day or are you doing to help me out here?!"

"I can try" Demi said, stepping closer. She was a terrible fighter and she knew it. It didn't help that she'd damage the timeline greatly. She reached out her hand, eye glowing, and froze the Invess for a moment. She could tell it would only last a second or two, but no longer.

Neil grinned, "Time for some teamwork."
He used his belt to cut twice, charging his disk with power before slashing through the Invess.
"One down.."

The injured Invess stood up, ready for one last attack. Demi reached out her other hand and froze it, this hand visibly straining. "Hurry up" she yelled.

Neil nodded, heading over to his other disk stuck in the wall. He attempted to pull it out, but it wouldn't budge.
He placed his first disk on the ground and this time used both hands.
"It's really in there.."

The Invess twitched as Demi strained to hold it in place. She could freeze an entire room, but freezing or unfreezing one specific thing was strenuous and she couldn't hold it for long/

Neil rubbed his hands together before giving it another shot.
He pulled with all of his might and finally it came sliding out.
"Back in action!"
He rushed over, hit the belt knife three more times, and sliced through the frozen Invess like butter.

The Invess went down like a sack of bricks. Demi let out a sigh of relief, able to release her hold on time.
