Overview:
Katsu is first and foremost an incredibly shy girl. She stammers and has trouble making any sort of conversation with people she doesn’t know, and even then with people she does know (as in acquaintances, she’s fine with actual friends). Her friends are few and far between, having incredible trouble in making any. Although this is likely partially her fault, as she does very little to help make friends with how she is.

Her self-esteem is very low, and she does nothing to try to raise it or improve it. She doesn’t know what she could do to overcome her own flaws, and even when offered help can do nothing with what she’s given.

Due to a premature birth she’s not in the best of health. By no means is she sickly and on the verge of death, but she is weaker than most people, and paler. This does nothing to help her, and she wonders if she shouldn’t have just died as an infant.

Despite her shortcomings, she is smart, and pays attention a lot in class. She’s a very good artist, always sketching either things she sees, or things she thinks of. Sketching takes her mind off of many things, and her drawings are very precious to her. They’re like the friends she doesn’t have.

She doesn’t want to be alone. She hates it, she wants friends, people who can be there to help her, but alas, she has nothing. The Arc of Kaitos makes her into a monster, which makes her keep pushing people away. When it activates she has absolutely no control and becomes a rampaging beast, more or less.

Due to recent events in her life, including being absolutely unable to make friends, and the Arc becoming more active and giving her blackouts where she can only wonder at what she’s done, she’s broken down. She skips classes now, cries a lot more and is just unable to do really anything. She’s on the verge of suicide, and is planning on killing herself soon to rid people of her, believing herself to be a burden on people, and to free herself from this horrid life she has.

Name: Rise
Type Of Hero: NA
Henshin Device: Arc of Kaitos; a gray colored belt that appears ancient. It’s smooth and doesn’t move, almost appearing to be made of stone. It widens at the front to hold a deep blue stone inside of it. Lines come out from it along the belt itself, resonating pale violet.
Henshin Sequence: The Arc of Kaitos appears on her waist, either at her command, or on its own, as it has a habit of doing that when she doesn’t want it to. It can either just transform her, or she can use a (pointless) henshin stance. She just doesn’t have a stance yet.
Forms:

• Form Name: Rise (base form)
  Image/ Description: Appears as a white and pale violet figure. She appears partially insect-like. Her feet appear with violet coverings over the tops of them, otherwise they are white and boot-like, coming up to a bit below the knees until violet trim ends the “boot”. Her knees have gold armor over them, while from then up she’s wearing pure white, with a pale violet skirt hanging down. At times her empty white limbs can be perceived to have some pale violet dancing around them.
  
  Then she has her belt, and coming up she has a flat stomach with swirling violet patterns across it. She has a pronounced chest of white, with a violet line running over the center of each breast as part of the motif of the torso. She has more armor from a bit above her naval up around the top of her torso, rather than the more spandex-like look of the rest. Her shoulders have rounded armor that appears to flow naturally into the body, with violet arcs along the armor. Her arms are white, and like the legs, occasionally show violet marks. Her elbows have gold covering, and she wears gauntlets, as evidenced by the backs of her hands having a slight ridge, like a gauntlet or glove would, with pale violet running down them, to nearly her elbows. From her elbows she has slight ridges of armor rising up and back.
  
  She has a red scarf that comes down in two tails down her back, tied off at her neck, surrounded by slight ridges of white and violet armor. Her head appears almost like a helmet in some ways. She has a mouth piece with some semblance of a mouth, and then a real helmet-like appearance along the rest, curling around her head in a smooth white design, with violet running around the mouth area, and then on the slightly overlapping helmet part, and around her eyes, which are a pale violet, closer to white than the otherwise used pale violet color. In the center of her forehead she has a small crown rising up from where her nose would be, coming up into two small golden prongs that curl upwards just above her eyes.
  
  Overall her armor is sleek with a nice mixture of the spandex-like armor of most Riders, and armor that flows seamlessly into it. Her figure and form can be taken as impressive and likely heroic looking, but she doesn’t know what to do with it.

  Fighting Style: As Rise, she can’t do much. She’s not a good fighter by any means. She often ends up becoming dizzy and just sees that the fight is over. She believes that the Arc takes over control.

  Abilities: Increased strength, resilience, senses, limited energy-based attacks. She’s not sure of the entire range of ability she has.
  Finisher(s): Kaitos Aurora: the stone in the center of the Arc of Kaitos erupts into brilliant light, cloaking her body. She can perform a punch or kick, or really any physical contact to mark the end to a fight.
  
  
• Form Name: Rise ~ Luminous
  Image/ Description: She retains the same basic form as before, however, the violet lines running over her body are more spread out in whirling patterns and ancient runes of various past civilizations. Her armor also grows over more of the spandex-like body, but often doesn’t circle around to make a connection; it just hangs there and comes down like an armored skirting, though it’s solid enough not to move as she moves.
  
  Her shoulder armor goes from being rounded to curling up slightly, and coming up off the sides of the shoulder into slight points of gold, with gold trim now running around the shoulder pads. Her scarf becomes a silvery blue color, and the two tails hang down much farther now, almost constantly in motion, with deep silver markings glittering across them.
  
  On her forehead her crown emblem has grown. It is now two pronged on each side, with the larger prong being at the very outside of the eyes, with a short prong just inside, around the center area above the eye.
  
  The central stone of the Arc of Kaitos is also changed in color to silver.
  Motif: Insect, light
  Color Scheme: White, pale violet, gold, silver, silvery blue
  Transformation: The Arc of Kaitos glows, letting brilliant light out, and then becomes silver in color. Her body transforms in a wave motion, becoming this form.
  Fighting Style: Once more, she doesn’t know how to fight. Though now that she has a weapon she focuses on trying to hit a foe from a range.
  Weapons: Rod of the Stars; a short golden rod or staff weapon. The shaft is only about a foot long, with a rounded tip with runes engraved on the end. Around the top of the shaft, before the rounded end, a twisted band runs around, ending in two wing patterns on either side. They don’t project out very far. Atop them are stars that streak down into the wing patterns, giving it the name. It can unleash blasts of silvery energy that seems stricken with stars due to the glowing it gives off.
  Abilities: Increased strength, resilience, senses, limited energy-based attacks. She’s not sure of the entire range of ability she has. Now that she’s obtained a new form, she’s also faster and has her senses boosted as well.
  Finisher(s): Kaitos Aurora: the stone in the center of the Arc of Kaitos erupts into brilliant light, cloaking her body. She can perform a punch or kick, or really any physical contact to mark the end to a fight.
  
  Star Shine: she focuses the power of the Arc of Kaitos into her Rod of the Stars, unleashing a combined attack of the power of the Arc and the power of the Rod in order to destroy the enemy with pure shining power.
  
  Katsu doesn’t have these forms yet:
  
  
• Form Name: Rise ~ Will
  Image/ Description:It’s the same as before, but her shoulder armor has become more a combination of the past two forms; the elongated design of Luminous with the defensive design of her base form. Now a larger ridge comes upwards off of the shoulder armor in gold.
  
  Her violet lines are mostly receded; they aren’t on her body very much. The additional armor given to her by Luminous form has now become rooted down, and is attached to her with golden lines attaching around her. This gives her longer armor off of her base form and more defense, almost more of a knight-themed armor in some areas.
  
  Her crown remains the same as Luminous, but the smaller spikes have now become longer, almost matching the outer points. Her scarf recedes to be much smaller and pale violet in color.
  Motif: Insect, knight
  Color Scheme: White, pale violet, gold
  Transformation: The Arc of Kaitos initiates this form. It shines, the stone becoming gold.
  Fighting Style: As Will she doesn’t like to fight. Any time this form is assumed, the Arc of Kaitos ends up taking over due to her unwillingness to fight, just like in normal form. When it takes over, she becomes more of a rampaging fighter.
  Weapons: Sword of Victory; a thick European styled sword with a gray blade and golden hilt, with violet wrapped grip. It’s heavy, and can’t be used by Katsu when she is in control. When the Arc takes over the sword is capable of cutting nearly anything with some focus from the Arc’s power, and can create energy shockwaves.
  Abilities: Increased strength, resilience, senses, limited energy-based attacks. She’s not sure of the entire range of ability she has. As Will, her strength shoots up along with her defense, but she becomes slower and loses her normal power abilities, with the exception of channeling them through the Sword of Victory.
  Finisher(s): Backlash Slash: she focuses power into the Sword of Victory and slashes it. As it carries outward it is meant to be a counterattack to another attack. The Backlash Slash’s energy is designed to overtake the enemy attack and return it to end them with their own power.
  
  
• Form Name: Rise ~ Arc
  Image/ Description: Her form becomes much more regal. It reverts back to her normal armor in regards to armor appearance compared to the more spandex-like look. Her violet lines remain the same as well, but start appearing in less random patterns and start making up more of a solid design, such as interconnected lines that create patterns that look respectable.
  
  Her shoulder armor takes on the look of Will, but the armor rising up is larger and more regal, with ridges and layers to them. Her sloping back elbow armor becomes pure gold. She also gains golden armored jewelry-like objects on her chest, like necklaces, and on her gauntlets and boots.
  
  Her scarf becomes golden, coming down in about eight different tails, like a segmented cape, hanging down to just about the backs of her knees. Her crown becomes full, with a much larger point on both sides of the head, the two inner points becoming as large as the outside ones were before, and the center rises up to create a fifth point rising upwards.
  Motif: Insect, regal
  Color Scheme: Gold, white, pale violet
  Transformation: The Arc of Kaitos shines gold when she’s in extreme danger, the stone becoming gold as well. This is her strongest form, and the Arc’s final defense.
  Fighting Style: The Arc is in complete control this time. It fights with a measured style, as it has a high enough defense that it can usually take hits or just evade at the last moment or shield itself, and return an attack.
  Weapons: Sword of Victory, Rod of the Stars
  Abilities: ] Increased strength, resilience, senses, limited energy-based attacks. She’s not sure of the entire range of ability she has. The Arc can create energy shields, anticipate attacks pretty easily, and has higher stats in every regard, bringing Rise to its strongest.
  Finisher(s): Kaitos Aurora: the stone in the center of the Arc of Kaitos erupts into brilliant light, cloaking her body. She can perform a punch or kick, or really any physical contact to mark the end to a fight.
  
  Star Shine: she focuses the power of the Arc of Kaitos into her Rod of the Stars, unleashing a combined attack of the power of the Arc and the power of the Rod in order to destroy the enemy with pure shining power.
  
  Backlash Slash: she focuses power into the Sword of Victory and slashes it. As it carries outward it is meant to be a counterattack to another attack. The Backlash Slash’s energy is designed to overtake the enemy attack and return it to end them with their own power.

• She carries a sketchpad in her school bag and just around, along with usually at least two if not three sharpened pencils.
  

Katsu was born to middle class parents, her father an office worker and her mother a school teacher. She was born about a month early, and had many health problems as a result starting at a young age. She didn’t go to school until she was six because of her health problems, missing out on preschool and daycares and things of the sort. Her first school experience was in her mother’s class, but she couldn’t make friends. She was too shy to talk to them, and when they talked to her, she couldn’t talk back to them, really. Her mother tried to help, but it didn’t work, as Katsu couldn’t talk to them to keep a relationship with any student, so she became a bit of an outcast among her classmates.

As the school years went by this remained a constant. She had no friends, only the occasional people she would talk to. As a result she started to draw from about her second year in school, becoming good over the years, finding that the paper was her only friend. Her artistic skills didn’t net her any friends. It did draw interest, but again, she couldn’t keep them due to her shyness.

When she entered high school she had about one friend, but was still unable to keep up her end, and lost that friend. This hurt her a lot. She finally had a friend, and couldn’t keep her. She went through her first year at AGHS without any friends. Interest and people trying to be friendly, but she couldn’t do anything about it.

During that summer she tried to meet people. She decided to change, but nothing. Even when she could talk to people, she couldn’t do enough. Her health problems started to return more often in this summer, as they had always plagued her. But the worst of it this summer. She was stuck inside most of the time, and would just draw. She got better shortly before her next year began.

Now in her second year of high school at AGHS, she’s friendless and still trying to get over her shyness, mostly self-inflicted she knows.

One day she came home from school and passed out, probably from her sicknesses again. But when she woke up and looked in the mirror she saw that her eyes had changed color, and she looked paler. As it would turn out, at some point along her way home she had passed by the dormant Arc of Kaitos, which had reached out and attached itself to her spiritually. It had caused her to pass out, and had physically bonded with her; body and soul.

One other day when coming home she had watched in horror as she became Rise. As it turned out there was a creature nearby, and it had attacked. She had been beaten severely, but had blacked out and found it dead when she woke minutes later. Rise had taken control of itself.

Frightened of whatever this power is, she tried never to use it and just go on with her life.

She started to meet other people, and started to lose control of her powers again.  She continued on as best as she could, but continued to lose her friends and the bonds she had tried so hard to make.  She was driven to despair, and was unable to be helped by anyone.  She started to miss school, to avoid everyone, even her own family.

She's on the verge of suicide now, an option she's never before considered.
