Overview:
Tsubasa is a loner, forgoing a Madagou and any help from Priests or Priestesses. He bears a heavy burden on his shoulders, and wants to bear it alone as some sort of penance for an act he didn’t even commit. He’s driven and determined not to have the stained armor of GARO be a stain on himself, on who he is.

Cool and collected, yet he shows sympathy for people, especially those who have had lives ripped apart because of the Horrors. He stays true to the Makai code, even if he doesn’t want to. He sees crimes committed by humans against humans to be just as important as stopping, but cannot cut humans down.

He’d stop crimes, but the thought alone of humans hurting humans with crimes makes him too angry, and he fears he’d cut someone down. He’s driven by a need for justice, and remembrance of the life he had before becoming a Knight.

He has a dry sense of humor and would prefer solitude to the company of others. He tolerates people to some extent, and enjoys the company of others of the Makai order, however. If nothing else he holds a common bond with them.

He’d give his life for the Makai order, but can’t die until he accomplishes his goal of reversing the darkening of the armor. He’s afraid of what happens to him when he hits a certain time, and fears for others who would bear the armor after him as well for that same reason.

Tsubasa’s father was not the previous GARO. Rather, he was a Knight whom had fallen, thus leaving the armor worthless to any Knight. It was more of a Horror now, and his father was put down. He had exceeded the time limit and been personally covered in Horror blood.

Tsubasa was raised by others instead of his parents. His mother came to see him from time to time, but knew he was better off in the care of another family of the Makai. This family trained him where his father had left off, teaching him to use his sword, and about his duties.

This family had lost their son in a Horror attack, so they bestowed Tsubasa with the armor of their family; GARO. However, upon his sixteenth birthday, and his first time using the armor, it attempted to reject him. It turned black and began to corrupt him if he used it for too long.

The armor knew he wasn’t of the right bloodline. This armor was fickle.

He kept becoming GARO, fighting, just training in the armor at times. It remained mostly black and fought against him. He wonders if the armor knows about his father’s fall, and assumes son is like father.

He’s held the armor on his own for seven years now, but it’s still the same as that first day, still fighting him every step of the way. He’s doing his best to get around it, but he can’t. He’s failing, and he knows that his death should restore the armor, but he refuses to give up. He is GARO now, and he will hold that title until the day he falls.
