Overview:
Eizo is kind of a fool. He loves to drink, and is often drunk or tipsy, even when teaching. It’s a miracle he stays employed, but well, he’s there for an important reason, so they’re able to cover things up. He likes to live life like it could end at any moment, because it really could.
He gambles and takes risks without any real concern or thought of what might happen. He’s cynical, jaded and rude. He tells things like it is, and even says the obvious or things that don’t need saying, because he feels communication of the situation is important. There are times when people don’t want to hear something, but know it. He’ll say it anyway.
He’s a realist, but still looks to the bright side of things. When he’s sober, not so much, so he often goes in search of a drink. He’s a highly functioning alcoholic, and claims the alcohol helps with his mood more than anything, and that’s why he uses it. He likes to joke around in any situation, having a rather upbeat yet kind of asshole-ish side to him.
He enjoys his job teaching, and the younger generation. He’s not too old yet, but to them he’s probably old. He wants them to enjoy youth, and enjoys memories of a time past when he looks at his students and the others in the school.

History
Eizo was once a racecar driver, a professional one. Life was good for him, but then there was a fateful race. As he took the corner, a baby carriage rolled into the track. He had to make a hard swerve to avoid it.
Eizo struck the retaining wall and his car burst into flames. The baby miraculously survived.
Eizo was that baby.
