Overview:
Sayuki is your stereotypical high school girl, she prefers going to malls and hanging out with friends rather than being stuck in the middle of a fight for her life. She dislikes the fact that the only reason that she is a Shinkenger is because her ancestor was one even though she was supposed to be the one that nearly conquered all of Japan. Therefore she sometimes skips out on her duties and tries to not train much to the frustration of Ji though she is compassionate and tries to help out in other ways.

Long ago during the Sengoku period people thought that Nobunaga Oda was a male warlord seeking to unify Japan. That was not the case, Nobunaga was in fact female and was part of the first Shinkengers that served the Shinken Red as his vassal. The rule for the Oda family is that they first must always serve the current family of the Shinken Red and secondly the one to inherit the powers of Shinken Yellow must always be female as per tradition.

This rule has irked Sayuki in the modern times as she was now a samurai even though she doesn’t want to be. Born to the Oda family she had long thought that she would get anything she wanted due to her prestige, however that was not the case as she was forced to go to school even though she much preferred to go shopping or go anywhere else other than school.

But as the only female heir to the Shinken Yellow she underwent samurai training and was trained on how to use her powers and how to fight. Therefore when the call came for the other Shinkengers to fight alongside their princess Sayuki went from Kyoto, though not in good spirit, now she fights alongside the others though her attention span for any fight/meetings is rarely at maximum.
