Five shots rang out, before a cold laugh followed, Zorima dropping like flies. "Damn things don't learn. You squishy runts better memorize it. Never lay a hand on a lady." Another shot, and three more Zorima dropped.

Nichol whistled, then laughed. "Up here, senorita. Though I'd prefer if you didn't point that piece at me. Though I wouldn't mind you pointing certain 'other' pieces at me." He smirked.

Annabelle looked up. "Rather direct of you. Why don't you join me here on the ground?"

"Nada, senorita. Why don't you join me up here? The breeze is nice." He chuckled, flashing her a sweet smile. "And the direct method is best. Like a bullet of love to the heart."

Annabelle looked up at him, and at the building he was standing on. "I might need some assistance getting up."

Nichol laughed again, before rolling down a ladder. "You mean something like this? A wise man is always prepared for love and for war."

"That's convenient. And nice proverb." Annabelle said, stowing her rifle back in it's case and scaling the ladder quickly.

Nichol smirked. "It's not just a proverb. It's a way of life, senorita." He scooted to the side a bit, making room for her to sit beside him.

Annabelle took her seat, adjusting the rifle case so she could sit comfortably. "Well, manners dictate I thank you for saving me."

"Well, I'm sure you could have easily taken them by yourself. My aesthetic dictated that I should help any lady I see in need."

"Oh, I'm more than capable. The high-powered rifle certainly isn't helping."
