Overview: Toby is a fairly social guy, but his face-blindness is a constant hurdle. He honestly cannot tell faces apart, so he uses other features to identify people. This intersects slightly with his inherent perversion; he can't tell faces apart for the life of him, but he'll instantly recognize a pair of boobs or a butt. He's gotten very good at hastily explaining his face-blindness when he gets caught doing this. He's also observed he has a bit of a problem with anger; specifically, he gets angry rather easily. He's been working on that in recent time, but it's somewhat slow going.

Toby was born to a Japanese father and American mother. His father began teaching him bushido at a young age, and his mother seemed to disapprove the whole time. They chose to homeschool Toby, his father teaching him bushido and most of his subjects, while his mother taught him about her line of work; computers. Toby took to computers readily, and learned fast. Unfortunately, he was able to learn so fast because he was entirely unable to remember people's faces. By the time he was 10, he was programming simple flash games. By the time he was 15, he was coding full games, selling them to his classmates for extra cash. When he turned 16, he switched to phones, programming several popular mobile games for the Smart Phone and making hundreds of dollars, which went to his parents. At this point, he also developed his perversion, and became famous in his school for being the kid who could tell boobs apart. His parents put the money he made into a college fund and used it to pay him through UC Santa Cruz.
When he finished his sophomore year of college, his father sat him down and told him about the Shinkengers, giving him the Kuma Origami and telling him that if called, it was his duty to answer. Toby understood, and began taking both Japanese classes in school and outside courses, becoming fluent in Japanese in record time. He also learned French, for giggles. He graduated with a degree in software engineering and went back to programming games, now programming full computer games. His first game was a major success and propelled Toby into the rank of millionaire. His Bushido training helped him stay humble, and he bought an apartment in San Francisco instead of a mansion like all his friends were telling him to. He did, however, begin hanging around with rich people and taking his friends to elaborate strip clubs. He still made time to return home and practice his Bushido, however.
When the call came, Toby was ready. He arranged a ship to bring his car over for him, and went to Japan to join the fight.
