Kiriha hadn't gone back to the hospital, but Marilen had. She spent time there, wondering if she could run into Sayuri again. If she had stuck around, then maybe she knew more of what happened. She just wanted to talk to the other woman and learn what she could.

Sayuri returned to the hospital. She wasn't sure why. Kiriha obviously wasn't here. Mariko was probably still too tired for visitors and she...She just didn't even know. She should have gone straight home and practiced with her katana. That would have hopefully settled her spirit; but, instead she had come back here for reasons she couldn't fathom.
She sat down in the waiting room and buried her head in her lap. What was she even waiting for?

"Sayuri?" Marilen asked, coming closer and sitting down beside her, "I was hoping you'd turn up here."

Sayuri lifted her head when she heard a familiar voice. "Marilen," she said dazed. She had been thinking about asking her for advice but now she didn't even know what to say, where to begin.
Well maybe not entirely true. "Could I please have your phone number? I forgot to ask for it before." She extracted her phone on the off chance Marilen would give it to her. And this was at least a less awkward beginning than trying to discuss what had happened.

"Yeah," she said, taking out hers as she gave Sayuri the number, expecting one in return.

Sayuri added Marilen's number to her phone and gave Marilen her own number in return.

"Thanks," she said, putting it away.

"Thank you," Sayuri said with a smile. "I'm glad I was able to see you again."

She nodded, "So...do you know what's up with Kiriha? You were here longer than I was."

Right. Now the awkward part.
"He's really not doing well," she admitted. "His friend Hiro died yesterday."

Yesterday
"I'm not familiar with who that is," she admitted.

(Thanks. Fixed it.)
"He said he was a friend. They seemed very close." That was an understatement. About the happiest she'd seen Kiriha was when he'd been discussing Hiro before died. And he really hadn't been able to accept his death. And the way he went storming out of the hospital when he was supposed to work...They must have been very, very close.

"Is there something more to this?" she asked.

Awkward. But she had wanted advice.
She sighed. "He said I was only useful in one way, as a distraction. Then we kissed. He said it meant nothing. And he went home."
That was an accurate assessment. Why had that been so hard to say? It shouldn't have been. Even if Sayuri had enjoyed it, a lot, she'd been trying to help Kiriha feel better. And Kiriha had said it meant nothing. It shouldn't be so complicated. Her spirit shouldn't be so flustered. Even a good amount of training hadn't been able to settle it.

"Um...what about his friend? I don't know what's going on, but he's been in a really bad mood," she said.
