Overview: For a machine, Yuko is an extremely curious and naive about her surroundings. She usually questions a lot of the world around her, and what her place it it, but she knows that she wants to do good in it, no matter how hard it gets.

In the eighties, an inventor was contracted to create weapons for combat. Using his brilliant mind, instead of creating the typical firearm or something of the sort, he began construction of a series of three robots, known as the Space Ironmen. The Ironmen were meant to be mostly sentient, as they can do whatever they wanted except disobey an order by their superiors, making them the most dangerous weapons in the world. When activated for the first time, they did exactly that; as time went on, they obtained something that was not expected: free will. As a result of this, project was scrapped and the Space Ironmen ordered to be dismantled.

That was the plan anyway. Their creator, unable to let his hard work go to waste, hid the deactivated Space Ironmen deep within his lab in Tochigi and fled, hoping to one day be able to reactivate the Space Ironmen and have them be integrated in society like other humans. And so, they slept.

However, some 20 years later, the first one, UT-01 Skydain, awoke for an unknown reason. Unable to recall much of her memory, she stumbled through the lab, eventually making her way out and seeing the world before her. As far as she knew, for the first time in her life... she was free.
