Strengths:

• Strong sense of smell, even in human form. He can even pick up the "smell of mana" and thus locate Gates among the human population.
• Good at dealing with people and seeming to be a nice guy in human form, which may help him determine what keeps a Gate's hope alive.
• His strength, agility, and toughness are all very high even by Phantom standards.

Weaknesses:

• He's not as intelligent when he's in his Phantom form. He's capable of holding on to a basic plan conceived beforehand (like destroying a specific item to bring someone to despair) but not of coming up with another complex idea while in that form.
• While his senses of smell and hearing are pretty good, his sight isn't as good, especially in the daytime. He's not blind, and he can see well in the dark, but can have difficulty tracking quick movements if he's forced to rely on his eyes.
• He's compelled to use his Phantom form during a full moon, even if he doesn't want to.

Goal(s):

• He tends to support Wiseman's goals, believing in his knowledge and trusting his judgment. But especially when he's in his Phantom form, he also just enjoys seeing Gates brought to despair just for its own sake.

• Tends to refer to smell more often than other senses when he's talking.

Relationships:

• Wiseman: Werewolf tends to have a good relationship with the Phantoms' leader; sometimes he doesn't exactly understand why he does the things he does, but he must have some kind of plan. Not to mention that he was the one who made it possible for Werewolf to live, so he's earned the loyalty. (Being a canine helps with that loyalty stuff too.)
• Other Phantoms: Werewolf routinely checks up on the activities of the other Phantoms in the area, making sure they're on top of their game for attacking Gates or fighting wizards. They aren't exactly friends, but he doesn't abuse them either.

Overview: As befits his mythological basis, Werewolf's personality changes greatly depending on whether he's currently in the form of Rokurou Tsukino, or his true Phantom form. In his human form he's more rational, and he prefers to bring Gates to despair through trickery and words. In that form, he seems more affable, and doesn't seem too out of the ordinary (unless, that is, you knew Rokurou as his real self- the real Rokurou was ironically more of a tough guy in personality than Werewolf usually acts in his form.) While in his Phantom form, he is more of a beastman, and prefers to use force to achieve his goals. In both forms, he follows Wiseman loyally.

Henshin Sequence: Waves of light-blue energy flow around "Rokurou", his eyes start to glow gold, and then the form of the Werewolf Phantom appears, first as an image and then solidifying.
Forms:

  Image/ Description: See picture on the right above, though the eyes and the claw-looking Phantom symbol surrounding the blue orb at his waist are meant to be gold.

  Fighting Style: He combines the martial-arts style of his host with the use of his Phantom form's claws and teeth, making for a savage fighting style.
  Weapons: None, other then the aforementioned claws and teeth.
  Abilities: His bite is poisonous, causing weakness and occasionally a deterioration of the victim's mental state. For ranged attacks, he can use powerful sonic barks. He can also move completely silently to sneak up on enemies. His physical capabilities are about the same as other Greater Phantoms such as Medusa, Phoenix, or Gremlin.
  Finisher(s): After a series of quick claw swipes, he traces a circle in the air (forming a full moon) and then makes one big slash with both hands.

Rokurou Tsukino seemed like the kind of person destined to have a great life. The son of a Japanese martial-arts master named Hayato Tsukino who gained a reputation for training many top action movie stars, when Rokurou wanted to become a stuntman, he already had a foot in the door. It seemed ideal- Rokurou got to perform impressive stunts onscreen, and got to take more direct part in show business than his father had while still being relatively behind-the-scenes and private. In time, Rokurou was able to move to America and take part in Hollywood productions, but he tried to return to Japan regularly to be with his friends and brag about how cool he looked in the latest show or movie. On one of these trips however, he was caught up in the dark ritual known as the Sabbath. Visions played in Rokurou's head of himself stuck in a wheelchair, his livelihood and cool factor lost, abandoned by everyone he knew. He fell into the depths of despair, and was destroyed...
From within him, emerged a new being, the Phantom named Werewolf, who sensed immediately that he was stronger than many of the other Phantoms who were born that day. The scent of opportunity was strong, and Werewolf pledged his loyalty to Wiseman, offering to use his skills to further the goals of the Phantoms' leader.
