Overview: Xander is known for two things; his sense of sarcasm, which is unrivalled, and his dedication to his cause. He has all the makings of a college frat boy, preferring to party than work, although he isn’t above putting a gun between a monster’s eyes if necessary. Underneath this persona lies a great inferiority complex, and a desperate need to prove himself to everyone else.

For as long as he’s been alive, Xander has lived in the small town of Ravencroft. He didn’t have quite the idyllic childhood that others claim to have. Both his parents ran a small pub and inn, so he saw his fair share of strangers and heard many tall tales. A few guests even claimed to be hunting monsters. While Xander believed them at the time, as he got older, he found himself more inclined to not believe them.

Then, in his high school years, he met a beautiful young girl called Anne Sanders. He was attracted to Anne, and that attraction didn’t wane when she killed a Fangire right in front of him, reaffirming his belief in monsters and the supernatural. Unfortunately, she never reciprocated his affection for her. He, Anne and another girl, Mary, who Xander had known since childhood, formed a sort of trinity of monster hunters. After many adventures slaying Fangire together, they went their own ways. Anne went to New York to fight more monsters, Mary travelled to New Orleans to learn magic and Xander stayed in Ravencroft, doing what he had been doing since high school-hunting monsters, and trying to run a pub.
