Clothes: Marcus tends to dress practically; his attire consists mostly of T-shirts and either jeans or military BDU pants with a black leather belt. Overview: Marcus Stone is the kind of man people tell you not to get close to, because they get that feeling that somehow he's just not the type to hang around. Others might tell you that they get a bad feeling from him just from looking at him. Still others might wonder what in the world he's doing wherever he is, and why he's not off fighting some war somewhere. The truth is... Marcus could care less, and would rather everyone just think what they think. As long as there's someone paying him to do what he does best, and he gets to do so with little supervision and nothing in his way, the rest of the world is of no consequence to him.
He doesn't ask questions on how his equipment works, or why- he just knows that it works, and that it works well enough that he's kept it with him. It's come in pretty handy, after all. In his line of work, where one throws themselves into whatever apparent danger for the sake of the client, his abilities combined with the powers he's been given by the device he happened upon during one of his missions equal an advantage over anyone else in the business. Advantages like that keep him alive, keep his income flowing, and keep everyone on his list either far away or out of the picture. Things like that work just fine for him, provided he agrees with the aims of the one paying him for long enough.
For Marcus, the war isn't with whatever faction is fighting whichever other faction over a concept or a piece of dirt halfway around the world- the war is with anyone who isn't the client, and with anyone who tries to stop him. It's not a matter of good, or evil... it's just business. As long as everyone else is keeping themselves busy with whatever is going on in their own little world, life is good... unless they're the one Marcus is out for.
Hero Stuff
Name: Kamen Rider Dark Kabuto
Type Of Hero: Dark Kamen Rider
Henshin Device: Dark Kabuto Zecter - The "polar opposite" of the Kabuto Zecter with unknown origins, this device allows the user to become Dark Kabuto when attached to a Rider Belt.
Henshin Sequence: Marcus has a tendency to keep his Rider Belt strapped on at all times when possible- so he has a tendency of snapping his fingers in the air and calling for his Zecter verbally, after which it will come flying to him- usually attacking enemies in its way with an opportunity strike on the way to him. Marcus then catches the Zecter out of the air as it approaches him, and slides it into the front of the Rider Belt. After a <HENSHIN> announcement from the Zecter, the Dark Kabuto armor begins to materialize around Marcus in hexagonal pieces to form the Masked Form, and the helmet's visor flashes bright yellow as the belt sends out a black tachyon wave with the completion of the transformation.
Forms:
- Form Name: Kamen Rider Dark Kabuto [Masked Form]
Image/ Description: Shown here
Motif: Kabuto beetle pupa, armor
Color Scheme: Black, silver, red, yellow
Transformation: See above.
Fighting Style: Close quarters brawling/melee, firearm ranged
Weapons: Kabuto Kunai Gun, in Axe mode for melee attacking or Gun mode for ranged attacks.
Abilities: The base form of Dark Kabuto, Masked Form offers strong defenses at the cost of speed, maneuverability, and offensive power.
Finisher(s):- Avalanche Break: A forceful finishing chop with the Axe mode of the Kunai Gun.
- Avalanche Shot: A high-power ion blast fired from the Kunai Gun in Gun mode.
- Form Name: Kamen Rider Dark Kabuto [Rider Form]
Image/ Description: Shown here
Motif: Kabuto beetle
Color Scheme: Black with red circuit lines, black, silver, yellow
Transformation: Marcus grabs the Zecter Horn on the Dark Kabuto Zecter while it is docked to his belt, and flips it to the right. His Masked Form armor disconnects in pieces, pops up, and then bursts free of the Rider Form armor beneath it, with the Zecter announcing <CAST OFF>. This frees the Kabuto horn on his helmet to fold upward and into place as the "eyes" of the helmet glow bright yellow for a moment, with the Zecter then announcing <CHANGE: BEETLE>.
Fighting Style: Close quarters brawling/melee, firearm ranged; high-speed maneuvers available.
Weapons: Kabuto Kunai Gun, in the two previous modes as well as in Kunai mode for additional melee options.
Abilities: Dark Kabuto's mainstay form, Rider Form sheds the Masked Form's defensive shell to increase speed and maneuverability, as well as allowing Dark Kabuto full use of his offensive power. Rider Form also allows access to the Clock Up system for further speed increase on a temporary basis, as well as the Rider Kick finisher.
Finisher(s):- Avalanche Break: A forceful finishing chop with the Axe mode of the Kunai Gun.
- Avalanche Shot: A high-power ion blast fired from the Kunai Gun in Gun mode.
- Avalanche Slash: A swift slash with the Kunai mode of the Kunai Gun, charged with energy that causes damage within the arc of the swing.
- Rider Kick: By inputting the <1 2 3> code with the buttons on top of his Zecter and folding the Zecter Horn back into the first position on the Dark Kabuto Zecter, Marcus allows the Zecter to charge tachyon energy to prepare the finisher. Pulling the Zecter Horn back into its "Cast Off" position causes the stored energy to cascade upward through his armor to the top of the Kabuto horn on his helmet, and then back down swiftly to his right foot, where the energy can be discharged with any form of kick. Marcus' preferred version of this attack on the ground is through a roundhouse heel kick, while if in the air he prefers to perform this as a flying back kick.

- Colt 1911 .45 caliber sidearm - kept on a holster on his right thigh, if needed; usually only equipped in high-risk situations. Holster also carries four spare clips for the weapon; each clip carries 7 rounds.
- Small notebook and stainless steel pen - nearly always on his person, Marcus uses these to take down information in situations where necessary. The pen also serves as a last-ditch melee option if nothing else can be improvised.
History
Not much is known of Marcus Stone's life prior to his appearance in international affairs as a "contract operative," or mercenary. What is known is that from his speech and behavior patterns, he is American, of Midwestern descent, but that he is more suited to life in high-population urban areas. His behavior while on a job also belies that he has been extensively trained in a military fashion, though whether this is simply because of his line of work or from previous experience has not been found. When not on a job, his activities show a tendency toward a solitary lifestyle, and his movement patterns are constant unless he is on an assignment. He has been in his line of work for approximately ten years; however, an assignment five years ago in Japan is one of his highlight incidents. The details of that assignment were classified to the public due to its results. While on assignment there, he was charged with the protection of a vehicle carrying a classified device to a drop location when the transport vehicle and soldiers protecting the convoy were suddenly attacked by large green creatures. In the chaos, the device was nearly lost, and several of the crew protecting it were slaughtered. One of the soldiers that had been in the vehicle with the device had attempted to use it, but was quickly taken out by a thrown chunk of car by one of the creatures. Having taken a cover position in an attempt to get an advantage over the creatures, Marcus found that the soldier's corpse had been sent toward him, with a strange metal belt around its waist. Determining that to be the device in question, he decided that it would be better to keep the device out of enemy hands himself, and removed it from the soldier before radioing in the mission as a wash- most of the crew had been wounded or killed in the attack, and his client considered the contract ended as a result. No questions were asked about the location of the device; the word that was given was that it had been destroyed in the battle by another member of the team. Marcus said nothing, was paid, and then went on his way.
In those five years, Marcus' success rate in his line of work has gone up considerably after leaving Japan, and there are rumors in the "contractor community" of a black-armored bug trooper who occasionally appears, attacks any hostile parties, and disappears as quickly as he arrives. Some of these rumors involve strange creatures and circumstances; others seem more like street justice gone overboard and that the black trooper might be taking his power beyond its proper uses. One thing, however, is constant between many of these accounts, and that is that the figure in the shadows is ruthlessly efficient- anything that ends up on the wrong end of an attack from him ends up brutally beaten, or dead.
