Kakeru dove towards Claudia, pushing her aside just as a massive machine, the size of a massive biblical leviathan, a blue whale Macchina, rose, stretching open its maw and devouring the ship whole, swallowing the cargo, crew, and ship in one gulp. "O...oh...my...gods...You've got...you've got to be...kidding me...FUCKING DAMMIIIIIIIIT! YOU FUCKING BASTARD! GIVE THEM BACK!" He roared out, firing shots at the Parassita, all of which just bounced off like pebbles.

Claudia just floated there, dumbfounded. "That... The ship.... One gulp...." Her brain went into overdrive for a moment while she tried to comprehend what had just happened.

Kakeru's rage reached a boiling point, as Kakeru roared out, charging at the Parassita with an indignant fury.

Claudia noticed, and charged after him, grabbing him in a bear hug and engaging a selective lockdown on her arms, pinning Kakeru to her.
"What could one you do against a fucking Biblical monstrosity that ate a whole boat in one gulp?" Claudia asked, engaging the turbines in her armor to pull them away from the beast.

Kakeru flailed about, unable to break the hold, screaming at the top of his lungs. "I HAVE TO SAVE THEM! I HAVE TO SAVE THOSE MEN! I CAN'T LET THEM DIE! DAMMIT CLAUDIA, LET ME GO!"

After Kakeru's stream of swears, a loud click was heard, as Kakeru's armor locked down and deployed flotation devices, and Artie's voice sounding through both of their comms. "Claudia, bring him in. We need to get him in the Blue Room for a cool off. I haven't seen him this worked up in at least a year."

"Got it." Claudia said, releasing the lockdown on her arms, and changing into Orbitaire. She grabbed Kakeru under the shoulders and engaged her rockets, carrying him out of the water and back towards HQ.

This was going to be a long flight. Claudia set her armor to autopilot, and pulled up a downloaded episode of How I Met Your Mother, watching it as she flew.
"Oh, Barney." Claudia said, chuckling.
