"But have you considered why? I won't bore you with all the reasons why. You no doubt have heard them before. The reason I stopped you, is because being at the bottom is a hurtful thing, isn't it?" Mayu mused softly. "To be there, to have no hope left, to be at the point where you'd rather die than go through the pain anymore...I know that feeling. All too well."

She came up to her feet and walked away from her, eyes set on where she had been, on jumping again. She didn't want to listen to the other girl.

She opens her coat, and uses a Ring.
"Chain, Now."
Magical chains bind Katsu's legs and torso. "You're running away from your problems. Taking the easy way out. But even that seems to be denied to you. Because if it wasn't, I wouldn't be talking to you right now. Have you really lost all hope?"

"What?" she shouted, "H-how did you do that?"

"Because!" Mayu shouted, the weight of the chains having forced Katsu to the ground, and now the young mage stands over her, exasperated. "I'm someone who earned the right to be a mage. You know how I earned that right?! It wasn't a fairy tale! I don't know what you went through that drove you to despair like this, but see if you can top having your twin sister turn into a monster, and murder your mother and father! And then try to kill you too by destroying what supported your heart! To fall to despair is a horrible thing, and the excruciating pain that you no doubt feel in a different way is no joke! It makes you want to die. But you know what? Whether it's a beginning, or an end, is up to YOU! And I chose a new beginning." Mayu shakes her head. "I survived, and didn't lose hope. The only way you can go from here is up! And not many people get that chance." A blue fire burns in Mayu's eyes before she looks away, composing herself.
"But what do I know. I'm just a transfer student that spent the last several years of her childhood without her family. If you want to go kill yourself, I'll dispell the chains. But let it NOT be said that no one cared."

She didn't say anything. This girl was like that man in white, wasn't she? She just stared at the ground, thinking about her words. Did she have any right to want to die, when this girl went through so much more? She wanted her life to be over though... She wanted to die. She didn't want to live in pain anymore.
There was a difference between them. Katsu would only bring pain by living. Pain to others, because of Rise.

"Silent. Figures...well you think about what I've said. And whatever's preventing you from killing yourself, maybe it's trying to tell you something. I don't know what it is, but you can't let it get the best of you. It is your body. Not that thing's body, yours. If you want to let it win, that's your decision. But I don't think you want to let it win. You don't want to bring pain. Do something about it. It's something only you can do. I'll leave you to think about it. The chains will dispel after a while." Mayu gave as she begins to walk off.

"How do you know about me?" she questioned softly, though loudly enough to be heard.

"Simple logic. You're suicidal, you've probably tried it before. But something stopped you. It's not that hard to figure out." Mayu gave, her back to you.

"...that's a hell of a leap in logic...," she muttered.

"Whatever." Mayu muttered back and turned away from you again.

She just sat there, tears running down her cheeks. She just wanted to die...

Well, she wasn't going to die. Mayu had pretended to leave, but she was hidden nearby, using the power of one of the Primordial rings. How would she handle this. And would this girl come to a decision on her own?

She continued to sit tearfully, waiting for the chains to vanish so she could try to jump again.

Mayu casually returns a little while later, the chains closer to disappearing but not yet. She carries a bag with her, and munches on a plain sugar donut cleanly. "Still thinking? If you are, would you like a donut?"
