"Could you please stop stuffing your face in that thing," Uriel remarked as he glanced at Moloch who was stuffing his face at a bento box, "seriously we just had breakfast not an hour ago and you're already eating again?"
"Hey a demon's gotta eat especially someone like me," Moloch retorted as Uriel sighed and shook his head. The one thing that he hated about this job was that he had to stay with Moloch, the demon was a big of a pain in the ass as a sword up said ass, he didn't know why Inferno and Paradiso needed the two of them up here. Something to do with a large spike in magic and needing the best to maintain the balance for the next 100 years. "Of course I need my energy if we're in a battle, I mean come on...you have to admit that there has been a lot of human battles lately."
"So I've gathered," Uriel said reading the newspaper as he glanced at the street trying to figure out who was going to upset the balance today. Apparently Asia had a large number of magic users and therefore they were investigating this area first before moving on to USA, and then Europe since Oceania had little magic, if at all. "Just keep an eye out..." as Moloch merely grunted.

Erika rubbed her eyes, exhausted. She needed to stay awake. She had to stay awake. Sure she'd been up all night trying to figure out where in the world this person was going to be attacked. And no she hadn't found it yet. That's why she needed to look again.
She sat down and extracted her crystal ball. She wasn't worried about using it in public like this because only she would be able to see the reflection of her visions.
She tried to suppress a groan. She really didn't want to look at this again.

Uriel then noticed a girl staring into something, a crystal ball, quite hard as he became intrigued by it. He honed in on his magic and tried to see what the girl was doing before finding out and becoming surprised, "That girl's a seer," he muttered as Moloch looked up from his bento and looked at her.
"That girl? Probably just some new age girl trying it out," he said, "she'll go to Inferno when she's dead. Always did like the false prophets when they get judged 'but I was chosen by God to see the future'," as he laughed.
"It's not funny and I pity them...as do I pity all in Inferno," Uriel said, "but she's an actual seer," as Moloch spat out his food, "could you not!"
"Sorry, an actual seer? Are you sure?" Moloch asked downing the last of the food.
"Yeah...she's an actual seer...let's just keep an eye on her," as Uriel continued to observe Erika.

Erika forced herself to watch it again. She was sleep deprived and slightly disoriented from the experience. It took a lot of effort to summon the necessary concentration and dredge up the vision again.
This girl was definitely in Asia. Of that there was no question. Unfortunately that was as far as her lead went. No mention of a name. No street signs. Nothing obvious.
She couldn't help but cringe as she watched her heart be ripped from her chest again.

"Yeah definitely a seer," Moloch said, "wonder what she's seeing right now?"
"Nothing good from the looks of it," Uriel said seeing Erika cringe, "it must be something bad."
"Poor girl's probably going to go mad in a couple of years...if she doesn't have any sort of training or self-control."
"Hmm...maybe..." Uriel said fidgeting with his crucifix.
"You're not seriously going to go and intervene are you?"
"What? Of course not..."
"No lying."
"Maybe...we do make sure the balance has to be kept right?"
"Yeah, sure whatever."

Erika tried to not concentrate so much on the blood and gore but the surrounding area. Were there any clues on the girl's clothing? Was there anything on the attacker? The park? All she knew was that it was a park. There had to be a million just like it.
Frustrated that she had learned nothing new she went back to the beginning. She'd watch it however many times she needed. There had to be something she missed! She had to find this girl! She had to save her!

"She's pushing herself too much...she needs to relax and let the vision flow naturally, if she's too tense she won't garner any sorts of clues," Uriel commented.
"Why are you so worked up about it? Just let it be," Moloch said kicking back and relaxing.
"I take my duties serious you know...unlike a certain demon," Uriel remarked.
"Hey whatever float your boat buddy," Moloch remarked with mirth.

Erika was woozy. She'd been going through this all night. She wasn't sure how much more she could take. She considered taking a break to acquire some caffeine when her hand shook and she dropped her crystal ball. She hurriedly caught it before it could make contact with anything and shatter.
She took deep cleansing breaths and tried to calm herself, tried to better shake herself awake. She knew the time and thanks to the moon she new the night give or take three days. It could happen tonight. She didn't have time for rest. She needed to pull herself together and get it right!

Uriel finally decided to intervene as he couldn't wait any longer, "Told you he go," Moloch said to himself now himself reading a newspaper as he Uriel went up to Erika.
"Are you alright? You don't look so good," he said with concern acting as though he was just another bystander as he helped Erika picked up the crystal ball and place it on the table, "you should be careful...you can easily hurt yourself."

Erika turned to the new person and hid behind her normal cheerful smile. "Thank you so much for helping me!" she said gratefully. "But really I'm alright!" The words sound perfectly plausible despite her fatigue. She had a lot of experience with putting up a facade.
She was extremely grateful that Merlin was keeping quiet. Typically he left her alone in her head when she was trying to get a better grasp on her visions. He for the most part approved of her efforts. Although he did worry about her overexerting herself. He'd given up on warning her against that, though. He knew how determined she was to use her visions to protect people.

"Oh? Are you sure? You don't look alright, in fact if I dare to say you look quite exhausted," Uriel said with a smile, "maybe you shouldn't work too hard. It's not good for a young girl like you to be exhausted...especially when you're trying to do something that may be beyond your scope."

Erika had planned on confirming that she was in fact fine when the person mentioned something about beyond her scope. She secretly regarded the newcomer with suspicion. However, her bright smile was still pasted firmly in place. Fatigue aside, she looked completely untroubled.
"Whatever do you mean by trying to do something beyond my scope?" she asked pleasantly. What was this person saying?! What did they know about her?!

"Well...sometimes the future is something that isn't determined, one shouldn't try to look into it lest they find themselves into a situation that they might not want to be in," Uriel simply said cryptically.

Erika stared at this person stunned. How could they possibly know she could see the future?! She had a hard time convincing anyone of that fact even when she wanted them to believe her.
"How do you know about me?" she asked simply. Mr. McKinnon had taught her that it was best to be secretive and cautious. Give as little information away as possible until you knew someone's angle. Why was he approaching her like this?! What did he want from her?

"I know a lot of things," Uriel said, "it's part of my job to know things about magicians. Have to keep everything in check and all you know, not like my partner who just sits around and eats everyday."
