He slipped his arm around her waist and slipped off the log, lying in the sand. He pulled her along with him.

He reached back and grabbed some of his things. He found his suit jacket and pulled it up, "You want something to keep your head out of the sand?" he asked. He didn't care about the jacket, he had more, and he'd just replace it.
