"Vol City, eh?" Aru asked no one in particular, looking over the skyline from their position atop an old building.
"Let's hope those rumors turn out to be true. I wouldn't like to have come here for no reason." Katsu said.
"Well, I've felt a Makai presence within the city ever since we boarded this rooftop. We'll be fine." Aru said.

"BARON?" an old voice barked at the trio. Burai walked towards the three, leaving a couple of yards between them.

Katsu turned, bowing in respect. "Priest Burai. I'm glad you escaped." Aru and Kairi quickly followed suit, upon seeing Katsu bow.

He approached them and nodded, "It's good to see some more survivors," he said, drawing out his Brush, "Assuming you are survivors, and not plants."

"Burai-sama! Let's not be so hasty." Gensetzu chimed in from Katsu's hip.
"We're not plants. Trust me." Katsu said. Kairi inched closer to Katsu, already somewhat scared of Burai.

"Understandable, indeed. Given who our enemies are." Katsu replied. Kairi was now behind Katsu, looking at Burai around the Knight. Katsu didn't mind, and Aru might've snickered, if it had not been Kairi.

He made some brushstrokes to create three seals in the air, each one floating to one of the three people before him. This would help determine authenticity of their claims.

Katsu and Kairi's seals checked out, but Aru's reacted to the Apostle. Before Burai could act, Katsu stepped in front of Aru.

"For the most part. I can placate it by using the mask to release a small quantity of its power." Aru said. "The mask also aids in keeping it sealed."
