Yuki finished off the low level Nanashi with great ease and rushed back to where she had last seen Mayu.
"Mayu! I'm back!" she looked around, but her friend was nowhere in sight, "Mayu?!"

Elsewhere, an unconscious Mayu was being carried over an Ayakashi's shoulder. Where she was being taken, or why, was another matter entirely.

Yuki rushed into the little mom-pop grocery store and asked the clerk if Mayu had come in, but she shook her head.
She ran back up to their house and checked every nook and crevice, but Mayu was nowhere to be found.

Eventually, Mayu's eyes began to flutter open as she got a glimpse of her surroundings. Not that it helped; she had no clue where she even was.

Yuki punched the wall and let out a frustrated scream before collapsing to her knees.
Mayu just wouldn't run away like that especially with her condition, she was taken. Yuki knew she was taken and she knew who was responsible...
