"Depends if it's finished or unfinished," he told her, "You take one of my unfinished works, things will not go well for you."

She shook her head. "Not my style. I wouldn't want to disrupt the creative flow. So you can actually paint or draw?" she asked impressed. As much as Charlotte enjoyed art, she couldn't make anything herself. Or at least couldn't make it well. Not her skill.

"I can," he told her, "Maybe I'll paint you," he offered.

She laughed. "I'd like that. I've definitely never been painted before."
"What kind of art do you like?" she asked Jack. Admittedly, she was really excited to see just what sort of collection Jack had. Despite the money she had access to due to her parents, Charlotte lived a pretty Spartan existence. There wasn't much in her apartment in terms of decoration.

"There's not really an artistic style or type of art that I don't like," he told her, "Everything ultimately has its place."

"But everyone has preferences. What are yours?"

He shrugged, "Probably painting."

She laughed as painting was still a pretty broad topic but she supposed it was good he appreciated all sorts of art.
"I can't wait to see what types of art you make!"

"Well then, let's go and you can see it," he said.

She nodded and followed him, curious despite herself as to where he lived. She had never bothered to figure it out before.

He had a car out front, "It'll take maybe ten minutes," he told her, getting into the driver's seat.

"No rush," she said, sliding into the seat next to him. It would be nice to take a break from research after the all-nighter. She supposed it wouldn't kill her to be 2.5 days behind schedule once. But it was never going to happen EVER AGAIN!

He pulled out of the parking space and started heading towards his apartment.

Somehow walking towards his apartment triggered the thought that she really should have Jack on speed dial. All things considered, it probably wouldn't have helped her. But it was a lot easier to get a call through to someone if you needed to press a single digit instead of punching in 7 numbers.
As she followed him she pulled out her phone and tried to figure out how to set up speed dial. It wasn't something she had bothered with before.

He unlocked his door and stepped inside. "Here it is," he said. It was large and spacious, with most of that room being taken up by easels and pottery equipment. It was kind of a mess, but the outsides, where he had doors to his bedroom and other rooms were cleaner. His kitchen area was also clean and away from the art.
