Overview: Erik has a bit of a child-like personality, which includes ditziness, naivete, and being something of a crybaby. He’s incredibly loyal, despite his clumsy actions. Though Erik may not make the best decisions sometimes, deep in his heart, he knows what is right and what is wrong. He is fascinated with old mythology, particularly from the Viking era. In addition, he’s a big fan of the fantasy genre, and anything related to it.

It is said that big things have small beginnings. This cannot be said about Erik, for he isn’t really a great thing. He had a simple beginning, born to a teacher and a government official. He grew up in a house on the coast of Reykjavik, in a relatively comfortable environment. He had an older cousin who lived with his parents and took care of him whenever his parents were away. Initially, they went to different places around the city, but as he grew older, the cousin used to regularly leave him in a children’s restaurant and hook up with her boyfriend. Spending a lot of time in such a restaurant, surrounded by pictures of creepy-looking crowns, caused Erik to develop his fear of clowns.

In time, the cousin moved out to go and get married, leaving an-to Erik at least- empty household. Erik turned to novels for company. He grew to be an avid reader, and a lover of all things mythological and fantasy. It provided a boost in his education, and got him the grades needed to be able to go to university, in order to study mythology in a more detailed manner.
