"Don't worry! I saw this in a cartoon once!" Mayu said. And then a two-ton weight appeared above the Ayakashi, and fell right on top of him.

He didn't crunch up like an acordeon, but he did fall flat on his face, dropping his gun.

Mayu picked up the gun and tossed it into the air before she cut at it, destroying it.

The gun seemed to be his life source.

Yuki and the other Ayakashi were traded blow after blow in an intense battle with no clear winner in sight.
The Nanashi, on the other hand, were circling them looking for an opening to strike Yuki down. Once they spotted Mayu, though, they rushed right towards her.

Mayu runs towards Yuki, going to cut down anyone that dare stood in her way between her and Yuki.

The Ayakashi slashed Yuki in the waist, wounding her, Yuki payed him immediately in kind.
The Nanashi swarmed Mayu, attacking her from all sides.

"I don't have time for this!" Mayu said, fully removing the blade from its sheath. "100 Fillets!!" She then began slashing the Nanashi around her with rapid swings, sheathing her sword when she had slashed 100 times.

The Nanashi then exploded all around her, clearing a path to Yuki.

Mayu ran towards her, but she fell just a little of the way there, panting. "N-No.... I forgot I can't go as long as Yuki can..."

Yuki noticed her out of the corner of her eye, "Mayu!"
The Ayakashi took the opening and slashed her across the chest.

"Yukirin!!!" Mayu shouted, stumbling towards her.

The Ayakashi took Yuki by the head and rested his blade against her throat.
"Don't come closer..." he whispered loud enough for her to here.
