Yuki felt the first drop of rain rush down her cheek. She adjusted her coat, but cursed herself for forgetting an umbrella at home.
She waited at the crosswalk for the light to turn green, avoiding the two men standing on either side of her.
A wave of melancholy washed over her, she always got like this during the rain.

Zero rushed down the street, wanting to get out of the rain. She held her jacket closed as she ran, her face and hair dripping wet. She clutched her briefcase under her arm protectively, as if someone would try to take it. She cursed as she came up to a crosswalk, with care going either way. She cursed udner her breath and waited next to a young woman.

It was a foreigner that stood next to her as she waited at the crosswalk, a young woman.
She smiled politely, but didn't saying anything. She rubbed her arm while she waited.
She still wasn't feeling one hundred percent after the whole poisoning and almost dying incident.

Zero despised the rain. She wished that she could magically stop the rain with a wave of her hand. She wished she had an umbrella. She sighed as she waited, wanting to get out of the rain desperately.
She returned the womans smile before lowering her case. She wondered if any of her keys could bend the water away. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that the girl was rubbing her arm.
"Are you okay?" she asked, trying to make small talk.

"Huh? Oh, thanks for the concern," she made a slight bow though even that hurt a little, "I was badly sick for a while and i'm just now recovering."

"The library" Zero said, wanting to look into the samurai she kept seeing on the news. Something told her that it would lead her to her memories, even slightly.

Finally the light changed and Yuki began to walk forward.. only for a car to come skidding out of nowhere, right towards her.

The car skidded past them, hitting no one.
Yuki blinked, just now realizing what could have happened to her.
She trembled, staring at herself in a puddle below.
"I could have..I could have.."
This was the second time she almost died.

She stood up and bowed.
