Books had served Morgana well but sometimes books alone were not enough. She thought that perhaps it was about time she find a proper teacher. But she needed to select one most carefully. She needed to choose one that wouldn't be likely to harm her or manipulate her without her knowledge. (Manipulating her with her knowledge was fine.)
She had decided upon a man by the name of Sauron Olorin. He was a very wise mage. And from what she had heard he was kind and laid back. He was a white mage so she would likely only learn good spells from him. But that was fine. She could continue to study the other spells on her own.
She wasn't certain whether or not he would be interested in training her; but, she figured it was worth a try. Even if he refused to teach her he might possibly let her borrow some books.
Using means, both magical and mundane, she had diverged his current location. She walked up to his at least temporary home and knocked on the door.

The door slowly opened and revealed an elderly man with white hair and beard with a white formal suit. He greeted with a deep, raspy, old, but calm voice, "Hello there, lady. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Morgana came closer. "Yes, but may I please come inside?" she asked nervously. She didn't like to admit her magical nature in the open. True, no one seemed to be around at the moment; but, she wasn't going to take any chances. Her parents had been burned because the village assumed they were both mages. She wouldn't share their fate!

The elderly man raised an eyebrow. "Sure."
He trusted the woman for now and stepped aside, but also asked. "So what business do you have with me, young lady?"

Morgan said nothing until she was inside and the door was closed. She was quiet for a moment longer as her eyes darted narrowly around the place, ensuring they were alone.
She took a deep breath. Confessing was always hard but she needed his help.
"I'm a mage," she began and the word was filled with fear. "And I would like magical instruction."

"A Mage?" Olorin asked, before remarking in a short laugh. "Oh, sorry dear. But I don't know what I can really do for a 'mage', especially if you're requesting something as a queer as magical instruction."
In actuality, Olorin was understandably trying to keep his own guise hidden. His role as a White Wizard had to remain hidden at all costs. Until Olorin could trust this stranger, his order's priorities come first.

He was trying to keep his identity a secret. She knew that. But she had done her research well. She was confident that this was in fact the powerful White Wizard Olorin.
"You're the White Wizard Olorin," she said with complete confidence. "There's no need for you to play games. I already know who you are and what order you belong to."
Morgana was very thorough with her research. She had of course heard of his Order long before she learned his name. She'd been poking and prodding in the right places for a good several months before making her move. In magic, it was always best be disciplined and prepared. No matter how great your plans were things would likely fall apart. You were in that much worse of a position if your plans were half hazard to begin with.

Olorin chuckled again. He was busted since this woman knew both his name and his title and replied. "A clever woman you are. But who are you, ma'am?"

"Morgana Le Feuvre," she introduced herself, smiling at his compliment. She liked to think herself clever. She didn't expect him to recognize her name. She wasn't well known.
She studied on her own, preferring to stay out of others' affairs as much as possible. She would meet with people to obtain books. She would protect books and scholars the others tried to destroy but beyond that she kept to herself.

"Ms. Feuvre, hmmm?" Olorin repeated. "And what kind of mage are you?"

"Green mage," she said without hesitation. Since she was a child she'd been able to hear all the voices of the flora and fauna. It had been dreadful. She couldn't tune them out. They were always there, babbling like some monstrous ocean in her head. And she'd accidentally make vines sprout out of no where. She'd nearly been strangled several times as a result.
With her father's help, through great discipline and force of will, she'd managed to silence all the damned voices of the flora and fauna. So long as her concentration was what it should be, meaning she wasn't seriously injured or distracted through other means, her head was quiet until she focused on a particular plant.
And now manipulating plants whether to make them grow or crumple was second nature. Her earth magic was the strongest and most intuitive. But that was not to say she couldn't do other spells. Far from it. She had been studying for a long, long time. She was very proficient in the ways of magic. Some spells were simply more difficult than others and took longer to master. But she always did master them in the end.

"So, Ms. Feuvre," Olorin spoke. "You seek instructions and help for your green magic? But you do know that my magic, although advanced, isn't exactly about nature and its fields, right?"

Morgana nodded. "I am aware. I want to master all types of magic and green magic is the magic I need the least help with. I'm here for your expertise not mine."

"Oh, that so?" Olorin replied, now understanding. "You are quite bold, green mage."

"Bold but patient and disciplined," she insisted. "I'd make a fine student," she said confidently. She was determined. As always, she would do whatever was necessary to learn what she wanted to know. Through endless hours of practice and research she'd master what Mr. Olorin could teach her.
