Overview: Paul has all the makings of the next Albert Einstein…if Einstein was from Toronto and had a borderline obsession with pulp fiction stories. Despite the intelligence, he’s actually a fairly compassionate human being, knowing when to use non-overly-scientific words. Granted, he usually needs to be prompted into doing that. His first loyalty is to Yggdrasil, as thanks for giving him an incredible opportunity. He’s something of a romantic, believing in chivalry and all that.

Paul comes from Toronto, where it’s cold all the time and everyone talks like they do in the movie “Fargo”. He had a fairly respectable childhood, which wasn’t particularly overshadowed by any major disastrous events. He was a pretty bright kid, but he didn’t know how to properly focus his intelligence. He misused his talents, setting up very elaborate pranks for other kids, and even adults, to fall victim to. It was all fun and games at first, until a few people started getting seriously hurt by his tricks. Seeing this, Paul decided not to engage in the pranks anymore and focused his mind to his schoolwork.

It certainly made a difference. Paul’s grades skyrocketed, particularly in the science department. By the time he was college age, he was getting offers from Harvard, of all places. The excitement reached critical capacity. He secured a diploma from Harvard, and began the greatest battle known to mankind: finding a good job. There were many available to him, but there was one that caught his eye out of all of the available ones; a job at the Yggdrasil corporation’s Tokyo branch as part of their R&D team. It was during this time that he created what would one day be known as Lockseeds. This creation earned him a promotion. He even took over as the head of R&D when the previous head resigned.
