Rena nodded and headed out. She did like to clear things with Jerome first, though. He was their leader and planner. Rena wasn't much for the plans herself. She typically responded to situations.
Xenia waved to her sister as she walked out. "I'm going to get some food!" Xenia said brightly. "Anyone want to join me?" She felt prepared enough.

"Sure," Kennedy said, looking back at Jerome, who wasn't paying any more attention. He was working on his gun.

"Come on, let's go then!" Xenia said eagerly, leading Kennedy outside. She wondered what kind of nice restaurants there would be in Paris.
Rena had actually planned on walking around the perimeter but there was something she needed to do first. After ensuring that Kennedy and Xenia had left she went back to Jerome.
"I need to talk to you," she said simply. And she needed to make sure Xenia wouldn't know about it. Jerome might be too busy to talk now. If that was the case it was fine. She just needed to let him know she had to talk to him at some point.
She didn't bother to say it was important. It would be obvious. She didn't do small talk.

"We shouldn't take too long with things," Kennedy said, "We need to be ready for the mission..."
"What is it?" Jerome asked.

Xenia nodded. "Something quick," she said in a bubbly tone.
Rena really didn't want to have this conversation but it was necessary. Pretending there wasn't a problem didn't make it go away.
"It's about Xenia. Her fits are growing more violent and it's getting harder to calm her down. Recently there was an incident at a bar. It would have been a disaster if someone with a suit didn't intervene. I think we need to start carrying tranquilizer guns for her."
She felt terrible requesting such a thing but Xenia could be really dangerous if she was having one of her more violent fits. It might be the only way to deal with her.

Kennedy nodded to her.
Jerome didn't say anything. He let out a breath and turned to Rena, "We won't," he told her, "Either we'll find a way to help fix her, or we'll put her down." He didn't want to have to do that. "We'll find something to use to help her," he said with more confidence, "It's the best way to proceed with things."

Xenia started pointing to various buildings. "We could go there! Or there! Or there! Or there! What do you think?! What do you feel like?"
And this was why Rena hadn't wanted to have this conversation. She'd feared it would go this way. She stared back at Jerome unflinching.
"Don't lie to me, Jerome. Neither of us have any idea what those people did to her or what's wrong with her. Similarly we have no idea of how to fix her. I don't want false hope. I want to know where we stand."

"It's your choice," Kennedy said.
"I am not going to just sacrifice an agent," he told Rena, "We don't know what they did, that's true, but we will figure something out."

"Hmm...Okay! Let's go there!" Xenia exclaimed pointing to some pink building. She had no idea what the food was like but the restaurant looked pleasing.
Rena smiled softly. "Thank you." She could never hurt her sister.
Still, Rena was a realist. "But in the mean time be careful. She's not just growing more violent but more paranoid. A bad mix. And if there is a time where you think she does need to be..."
She took a deep breath. "Put down I won't be able to help you. I can't. I can't even promise I'd warn you if I thought she was at that stage. I trust you but she means everything to me. I'm talking to you now because I know I'm too close to her to do what's right. I'm trusting you."
She hugged herself tightly, staring intently at the brown overcoat that mirrored Jerome's. She trusted him. She did. God she hoped it wouldn't come to this but he'd be able to make a more rational decision about Xenia's mental state. And Xenia was sweet and caring. She wouldn't want to hurt anyone.

Kennedy followed her inside without a word.
"I know how you feel," Jerome told her. He'd seen siblings murder siblings, family murder family...he didn't want to see Rena have to face Xenia's death. He didn't want to have to put down his own people, especially not people he had rescued personally. "I will do what I can to save her."

Xenia and Kennedy were hustled into a booth and given a menu. Xenia looked hers over, trying to decide what she wanted to eat.
Rena nodded her head. There were few people in this world Rena trusted but Jerome was one of them. She knew she could count on him to do everything in his power to save Xenia. But honestly Rena didn't think it would be enough. So far they'd found nothing and they had no idea of where to go. Xenia was likely a ticking time bomb.
"I will too," she said fiercely. She'd do anything to return her sister to normal.
"I'm sorry," she added. She knew it wasn't fair of her to place all the responsibility on Jerome, make him make the tough decision about where Xenia was mentally. But Rena simply couldn't be objective when it came to her twin. She knew that and it was foolish to pretend otherwise.

"I'm not too hungry," Kennedy told Xenia, "I'll be fine."
Jerome just nodded, not saying a word. He needed to think, but not now. No, now was time to prepare for their hunt.

"Me neither! I just want something sweet!" Xenia flipped to the dessert menu. Her eyes doubled in size as she gazed at all the sweet pictures. "Ooh! They all look so good!"
Rena nodded back at him. Having said all that she needed to say she walked out, hoping to question the locals and maybe get some sense of where this thing was going to attack.

Kennedy smiled, "I might share something with you, in that case."

Xenia held up the menu to Kennedy. "What looks good to you?" she asked cheerfully. "I'm up for anything."
Once outside, Rena was completely focused on the task at hand. She pointed to the first person she came across. "I need to ask you some questions."
