The enemies continued their advance with no clear sign of it coming to an end while the man just stood there, continuing to play catch with the possible cure.

"Come on, Mayu... think... think of a way to take out all these... AH!" Mayu then whipped out her sushi changer. "Not exactly honorable, but if it gets this done..."
She then typed in some kanji on her phone and called forth a pogo stick. She then got on it and started bounding away.

The Nanashi were in a state of confusion and weren't sure how to proceed.

Mayu then bounced as high as she could, and when she was high enough, she typed in the Kanji for big and used it on the stick, causing it to increase in size and slam back down on the Nanashi.

The Nanashi were crushed beneath it's weight.
The man just stood there as a powerful gale erupted forth from the crash site, blowing the vile from his grasp.

Instead of going to catch the bottle, he just stood there, watching as it plummeted towards the ground.

Mayu stopped when she saw the bottle break, and everything went blank for her. Her mind was focusing on the only hope she had for Yuki to survive... or rather, what was her only hope.
