The hardest parts about trying to integrate oneself into human society are to find a place to live, and a place to work. Yuko didn't necessarily need to sustain herself as far as food went she ran on a power source that didn't require much maintenance, so getting food was more of a sense for taste rather than out of necessity. However, without any money to go anywhere, she was more or less inclined to be live in a shelter for those without a home to go to. However, she wanted to be independent of herself, hence she started looking for jobs. She just wasn't sure where to start...

"I can't believe you enjoy it...," Angela muttered as she looked across the table to Leslie, who was toying with one of her Batteries.
"You don't get a sensation out o fit? A rush?" Leslie asked.
"Um...no...," she said, "I don't want to fight."
