Overview:
Kayla is rather interesting in her pursuits in life. She’s traveled a lot, and comes off as worldly at times, and loves to keep moving around, rather than staying in one place. She tries to act wiser than someone her age, but that doesn’t often work out too well for her, and she tends to revert to someone slightly more immature than she arguably should be. Because of her travels she’s become rather adventurous and somewhat impulsive in new situations.

If you asked her what her defining attribute was, she’d probably say that it’s her clumsiness. She’s a fighter and she travels a lot, but she’s rather clumsy. She’s tried to fix that, but she really can’t. She’s prone to tripping over things, even her own feet. She’s rather apologetic over this. She’s also not very good at being quiet or stealthy.

Kayla is very willing to help people in need, and will put aside what she’s doing to go and be of assistance to anyone nearby, whether they ask or not. If she’s told she doesn’t need to help, she’ll do it anyway. She’ll only really go if she tries to help someone and they make her go, or it’s entirely out of her skillset to help.

She’s found that she’s actually really good with computers and some forms of technology (as in, current human technology, not advanced technology like Drivers or Morphers or alien tech), normal things, really. She’s really fast at what she does too, and isn’t quite sure where she picked up her expertise, but it is there. She knows what she’s doing. She’ll gladly help with things like that as well. Along the way she picked up some hacking tricks as well during her traveling, but she doesn’t really do that. At least not often.

Kayla, above most else, is rather awkward as a person. When you take into consideration her clumsiness, it really adds a lot to this. She doesn’t always think things through before talking, and embarrasses herself a lot, or makes somewhat inappropriate comments or accidental innuendos a bit too often. She tries to just go with it, but that doesn’t always work out. She tries to be funny as well, trying to turn something awkward into something funny, or adorable. Either or. She just tries to make it work out. Sometimes she rambles or talks about completely random things.

She’s smart, both in matters of history and the like, and in real world applications, thanks to her travels. She’s not overly studious, but she picks things up quickly enough and has good retention of knowledge and facts. She hates having to try to do tests of any sort, however, but otherwise she’s fine in recalling information, although it sometimes takes a little time to figure out.

She doesn’t have a lot of things to worry about. She really doesn’t have many cares in the world. She knows how bad the world is, and doesn’t romanticize anything really, she sees things as they are, and views the world as it is, with the cold hard truth. She doesn’t always talk like that, however. She will sugarcoat things to make people feel better (especially younger people), but will talk about things normally with other people, those of her own age and older.

For plot integrity, I’m skipping a lot of early stuff
Kayla had a good childhood, good schooling, everything. When she was eighteen her father had her leave home with the Drake Zecter as protection, tasked with seeking something out. She was willing to go, and started to travel the world, with all of her knowledge and experience meant to help her.

She enjoyed traveling, but was never able to find what her father sent her to find. She helped people where she could, and learned about the world. She rarely had to use her Zecter, and as such never developed fighting skills, but rather gained a lot more along the way.

She still travels around, seeking out that mysterious something, despite how good of a life she had, and the fact that someone else could probably do it. But it was entrusted to her, so she travels yet.
