Takaiwa followed closely behind Kureshima. It didn't take long for him to catch up and rejoin the fight, with his naginata still in hand.

James crossed his blades over his chest, as well as his wings, so that he could survive the attack. His wings took the hit, but also took damage from it. He was grounded, even if there were no trees, until he could detransform and retransform at least.
He slipped through the trees, moving through them as fast as he could. At one point he just started cleaving through trees to get them out of his way. He could see a large painted X on his HUD, marked with UV paint.

Takatora used his flashstep to get in front of James, but kept his shield in front of his body, waiting.

Takaiwa wasted no time as he gained distance to his enemy and charged up his naginata, cleaving through the air in an attempt to land a slash on the fleeing rider.

James held up his swords defensively, feeling pinned. He had to think of a way to get into the clearing and get out, fast.

Unfortunately for James, strength was Takaiwa's friend, and he relentlessly continued to effortlessly bash through the Dragonfruit Rider's feeble blocking stance with both bladed sides of his naginata.

James pushed back, slashing at him as fast as he could. As he slashed again, he could feel himself going berserk again, cursing silently. Soon his stance became angrier, hacking at Koyoma with Tyrfring before firing his Musou Saber off.

Takatora kept back and pulled back on his Musou Saber. He lifted it and started to fire at James from the side.

James took the blast, not showing signs of pain as he turned. He lifted his own Musou Saber and fired, before leaping at and furiously slashing Takatora.

Takatora swung his sword up, intending on using the blade to parry everything he could, rather than the shield.

James hacked and slashed with his swords, aiming for Takatora's hand to try and knock his sword out. He growled as he slashed, slowly becoming more and more like an animal.

Whenever things looked back, he'd add his shield in for defense to protect his hand. One one block he flicked his knife and used his flashstep to appear behind the other Rider, swinging his shield for the man's back.

James was knocked aside, but he quickly got his stride back. He stood up, attaching his swords end to end, and slashed at Takatora's stomach.

He spun his sword upside-down and blocked, bracing the flat of his blade with his shield.

While Takatora was pinned Jaames leaned in and headbutted him, trying to disorient him.
