Lauren was out buying more rope. Specifically, blue rope. She needed it for a new work, and she'd have sword she had some, but apparently not. Oh well.

Kenzie was back in Europe and had put the events of America behind her, like so many things in the past. She was out for a walk today, rather than at work.

Lauren finished her purchase and walked out, playing with Tiger's Jewel in one hand. She had a feeling something was going to happen, something bad. And soon. Tiger wasn't helping.

Eagle started to get into her head, so she stopped and pulled it out, "What is it?" she asked. She listened, "Another one?"

Lauren followed Tiger's directions. "Please tell me we're reaching some sort of destination soon." She saw Kenzie but ignored her, trying to find what Tiger was going on about.

"And here I was, thinking my day was about to get weird." Lauren waited. Generally things started happening after a beat. She knew she'd just jinxed herself, she just wanted it to get over with.
A pair of ropes slid along the street behind both women, approaching.

Lauren began silently counting down from three on her fingers. A moment after she finished, the rope cinched around her ankles, and she toppled over with a yelp. Another rope cinched around Kenzie's ankles not too long after, as ropes began wrapping around both of them.
