Kota was caught offguard by the zig-zag and when he realized a roll was imminent, he immediately grabbed a pipe and held tightly as the stage did a 360 before letting go once the roll was over.

James drove his lance into the ground to hold on, kicking Tango back to get some room.

Kota wasn't expecting for Gram to rashly attack him during the roll. Luckily, it has passed and Kota was just knocked slightly backwards.

James stood up after the roll ended and yanked his sword from where it was entrenched. He lifted his Dragonfruit Lockseed and placed it on his Lance.
1, 10, 100, 1000
"Let's finish this" he said to himself as his weapon caught flame. He spread his wings and flew at Tango, weapon spinning as he did.

Kota had learned a few things when he obtained his second Genesis Driver and that was to tap into his Lockseed's special power. He grabbed his belt's right handle and shoved it inward twice, causing his belt to announce: 'Orange Energy SPARKING!'
A hexagonal-textured barrier, shaped and colored like an Orange, formed around him protectively. Gram's lance struck it, but merely slid off the side of it without doing much harm to the shield itself.

The starting point was in sight, the end of the battle drew ever nearer.

James pulled his Lance back and continued to strike, knowing the shield wouldn't last forever. He had missed the change point earlier so he had to stick with Dragonfruit (unless he wanted to be a dick and use Banana with his sword). Banana wouldn't do much anyway he figured since he'd lose his wings.

"Time for you to be finished!" Kota shouted as Gram hammered his barrier. "Because this is my stage now!"
He pushed his Genesis Driver's handle inward once more, activating: 'Orange Energy SQUASH!'
His leg was warped with a bright orange aura and he stepped forward throwing forward his leg towards Gram's chest with all his might.

James started up his finisher again, slashing once more as Tango flew at him.

Kota's kick collided into his Lance. The lockseeds' energy from both sides were forced together into a buildup, resulting in a massive explosion on the stage as it closed in on the starting point.

The explosion caused the stage to go haywire and spin madly out of control.

James was sent flying end over end. He managed to catch himself with his wings and drive a claw into the pavement, jerking his arm in the process.

The North Stage missed it's starting point completely and kept on going, edging closer to the river that borders the city.
"It's about to get wet, Armored Riders!" called out a frantic yet excited Sagara, "Jump now or you're in deep water!"

The explosion had already knocked Kota off the stage and he landed near the harbor, rolling across the pavement, mildly unscathed by Gram's lance. He stood up and watched as the stage slowly descended towards the water.

James fell off the stage a moment later. He managed to catch himself in midair with his wings, hovering above the water.
