Miri had been sent out on a mission to subdue a renegade Beyond, one working for neither the Ghosts nor the organization. The hope was to bring him into the fold before the organization got to him or her. But of course, they'd sent her out with Ari. She hadn't said a word to her the whole time, even as they drew closer to the signal.

Ari had her Morpher ready, but said nothing. She had nothing to talk about.

Miri went into the warehouse where the signal was coming from first. "Hello?" She called into the seemingly empty room. A rustle sounded behind them briefly, but Miri ignored it, Morpher ready.

Ari looked back however and kept focused on that.

"Who are you? What do you want?" The Beyond, a young woman with disheveled hair and clothing asked, emerging from across the room. "We're friends. We're going to help you." Miri said, keeping her hands open and spread.

Ari nodded, "We're like you. We can take you somewhere safe," she said in a soothing voice.

"I don't believe you." She began to bite her nails, eyes flicking about nervously. "We're here to help. Just relax, and come with us." Miri said.

"Please. You can look into our minds if you want..."

Miri felt the presence in her head, before her body locked up. She couldn't even speak, not for lack of trying. The girl moved to do the same to Ari, locking her joints. "No one is ever going to hurt me. Not again." She muttered, as the rustling started up behind them again.

What the hell? Why couldn't she move?

"I don't know what you people wanted, but you aren't getting it." She growled, as large flat strips of a black material emerged from the shadows behind them. The girl focused, and Miri's limbs began moving on their own, taking off her clothing and Morpher. The girl focused on having Ari do the same.

What? No, no, no, no...

The strips then began quickly wrapping about their bodies, trapping them both in sheathes that left only chest and eyes exposed. They were hauled into the air, and once they were left dangling there, they regained control of their bodies. "I'm not done with you two." She said, walking away. Miri began writhing violently, finding that her powers didn't seem to be working.

Ari tried to teleport, but nothing. No telekinetic push worked either. She tried to alter the composition's strength with her probability bending, but nothing.

Miri tried to connect to Ari telepathically. That seemed to work, for some reason. "This is an unexpected turn of events."
