Sayuki sat on a bench completely in a trance as she thought back to Christmas, it had been the worst Christmas of her life not only because she couldn't go visit her family or friends which wasn't that bad considering that she didn't really like Christmas at her family's manor and her friends would no doubt be actually with their family. But because of Kari, Sayuki had decided to test the waters and actually asked what would they do, hypothetically, if another Shiba were to come along. The main family discussed this and they concluded that because there could only be one Shiba, and that there really only was one, then the other must be an imposter and had to be eliminated. That had sent an arrow to Sayuki's heart because she had grown to love Kari and wanted to support the dancer no matter what she do, she had hopes that Kari would be accepted into the main house because of her former duties, but now Sayuki may be forced to one day cut her down. That was too much for the girl and she blinked tears as she wondered for the first time if it was better to run away from the Shiba's service and just team up with Kari.

Kari hadn't been at the house for the Christmas dinner..she'd waited for a while, but had had the intuition to leave. So she did. So she was unaware of the edict against her life, though it won't surprise her much. For now she's sitting in a cave again, meditating....

Sayuki wondered where exactly should she stand in this, should she stand alongside her lover? Or should she fulfil her duty to the Shiba household? It was a dilemma that worried her completely.

Her thoughts drift to Sayuki, and a smile plays across her features. The young samurai was adorable. And..she found herself liking her. But She wouldn't jeopardize Sayuki's place in this world..

Deciding that it was perhaps best to see Kari Sayuki got up and began walking to Kari's cave unsure on how to feel when she saw the person herself.

Sayuki looked at Kari and wiped the tears away from her eyes as she sat next to Kari and looked at her longingly.

"I'm...I'm fine," Sayuki said deciding that perhaps it was better not to worry Kari with what was said, she didn't need to know...nobody knew that Kari existed anyways.

Sayuki smiled and took the arm as she shuffled closer to Kari before leaning her head on her shoulder, "How was Christmas?" she asked, "Did you have fun?"
