Overview:
Hanto is most of all confident. He’s smooth and suave, and knows just what to say and when to say it. He’s good at taking orders, even if he doesn’t like them, because he knows there’s going to be a payoff in the end. He’ll gladly suffer through the occasional boring assignment or task as long as he scores points with the superiors. That’s what matters the most.

He’s cocky, and can be cold and uncaring, but shows care when it comes to his friends, like Retsu. When Retsu’s killed before, he’s taken his partner to get drinks and just talk. He’s perfectly capable of this, but he just doesn’t do it often. He’d prefer to just not get involved in things, but he will. For the game.

He’s manipulative and an asshole to a lot of people. He’ll try to get them to do things that will supposedly better themselves, and may sometimes. Especially with Retsu (albeit he doesn’t listen). But other times he’ll just try to get people to do things, claim it’ll be good, and then turn against them and take the benefits. He has no morals, no qualms about hurting others in the organization. He just wants power, to rise to the top.

Charming, intelligent, ruthless, he holds no sense of honor or principles. He appears to, but deep down, it’s all fake. He’s not even on the side of justice, he’s a space pirate at heart, and commands a crew of criminals. He uses his knowledge to evade the GUP and just keep doing pirate activities and criminal activities. He of course has an alias and mask to disguise himself with.

But deep down he has another goal, one hidden, one that holds a sense of honor and duty, proving that he is capable of such a thing.

Finally, most of all, he’s a man of secrets. He keeps it that way.

Hanto’s past remains wrapped in mystery. There’s his actual past, and the past that the Bureau knows about; the past he fabricated.

Hanto’s father was a Knight of the Galactic Order, using the armor called Galm. He was already space-faring due to the mystical means the Order used. He was killed in the line of duty, during the feuding with the GUP. He left his armor to his son, in the hopes that he would one day take up the mantle and help restore the Knights.

Hanto was sixteen when his father died, and didn’t have much in his life worth fighting for. He decided to fight for this, however. For a time he was raised by an uncle, but then snuck off to join the GUP. The vessel he got into was attacked by space pirates, and most of the crew robbed, while those who wouldn’t comply were taken as prisoners. Hanto was taken as a prisoner.

Hanto was young, so he was influenced easily enough, but they underestimated his strong will. They taught him their ways, and he grew to learn their traits as a pirate for two years, while using his training from his father as well, always remembering who he was as a Knight.

After those two years he made it to the GUP and he became a skilled Sheriff, with them unaware of his past, only knowing that his mother died when he was young his father had abandoned him.

He did very well, becoming the best of his class early on, but he quickly realized he didn’t want to overly stand out. He started lowering himself, and as such when he graduated as a Sheriff had no armor, but was partnered with another man, Retsu.

The two worked together on a number of cases over the years, and became brothers in arms and friends. Hanto continued his role as a space pirate, which came to the attention of a few higher ups in the Bureau, who were also corrupt. They used him, and he used them. He played their games of politics, and encouraged Retsu to do the same, wanting the man who became his friend to be a part of this, and to be with him in this, which he would tell him about when the time was right.

The two were recently sent to Earth, with Retsu as Gavan, and Hanto was left wondering what his next move would be.
